Been doing some garden maintenance. Removed all the dead/dying squash and zucchini plants other than one that looks pretty good. Glad to see em go really. We got over 600 this year.
Removed all the watermelon and cantaloupe vines as well. Center of the garden looks empty now. I moved my wife's zinnia flower pots to the center so they can get more sun. Did a few other general maintenance things...
Harvested 18 Big/Better boy tomatoes, 8 beefsteak tomatoes and 3 Roma. Got nearly 2 gallons of frozen and cored tomatoes out of it. Couple more gallons and we'll either can marinara or salsa.
We also picked 3 eggplant, 79 banana peppers and 130 jalapenos . Most of the jalapenos were small, but they are some of the hottest I've ever grown. We'll can some and make jalapeno popper dip this weekend.
Watering every other day. Creek is still holding up to the drought. That's about it. Still have a lot of tomatoes and peppers left to harvest.
