Saquon Barkley signs with Eagles. Giants look like dumbasses...

Kirk Cousins going to Atlanta. He's immediately the best QB in that division.

Niners letting Arik Armstead go... boooooo.

GB letting Aaron Jones go??

What else is going on?

I really thought Green Bay was gonna go with a two-headed RB beast. Aaron Jones has been a true Packer so a bit of a shocker (…at least for me…). His dynamic running style will be missed unless the team is looking to draft a shifty, lightning quick RB next month.

With that being said, even with the increased salary cap, teams still have to keep an eye out on the future. Jones has battled injuries the last couple years and he’s 29 years old. Jacobs has, iirc, been relatively injury free and he’s 26 so has the edge in two categories. The Packers probably asked Jones to take a pay cut (again) but he said no so he was released.

From a player’s perspective, pro football is a wonderful profession but a tough business.

Eagles could’ve gotten better value by retaining Swift and not holding their breath on Barkley staying healthy and using the rest of that $ on CBs or other positions of need.

Russell Wilson to Pittsburgh for 1.2 million. While Denver paid him 29 million to leave.

Probably one of the worst deals a team signed up for not to mention the draft picks they gave up too.

It's probably up there with the Herschel Walker trade to the Vikings (Vikings giving up three first-round picks and three second-round picks - Walker lasted 3 seasons with the Vikings) or Mike Ditka when he ran the Saints team and traded his entire 1999 draft picks, plus first and third-rounders the following year to draft Ricky Williams fifth overall. Williams lasted just three seasons with the Saints.

Raiders dropped big coin on Christian Wilkins, Panthers traded DE Burns to the G Men who paid him HUGE money. The Panthers signed a guard to a 5 year 100 mil contract??

Some crazy stuff.

Yeah, that Wilson trade is looking more and more like the worst trade in history as far as ROI goes. Ooof.

85 million in dead money in Denver. Highest ever. They're gonna suck for a bit... Peyton as coach or not.

Austin Ekeler signing with Commanders on two-year deal worth $11.43M seems like a huge value to Washington to me.

Kinda up there with the Packers taking Tony Mandarich with the 2nd overall pick bypassing on Barry Sanders. Not really sure what GB scouts were doing there. Mandarich was a 'roid freak and it was all there on the film when he played @ Michigan State. Barry? Well...he was backup for Thurman Thomas...and still went on to achieve everything but a Super Bowl ring. I still to this day regard him as THE best running back ever. If he would've had the O-Line Emmitt had in Dallas he would've had 5x more yards than him. Sanders was adept with making secondary's look sluggish and slow. Smith was out of gas by the time he crossed the scrimmage line. That line literally opened holes trucks could drive through.

Eagles signing Huff is a move in the right direction.

I'm glad the Bucs signed up Evans too!

Yeah Redskins got a deal with Austin and if healthy a solid upgrade from Gibson who they let walk.

Henry signs with Ravens. That could be a fearsome offense now.

It’s been awhile since GB has been this active on the free agent market, especially on the first day of the frenzy. As far as the NYG safety, the Pack needed an experienced player in the backend. Their new DC likes one high safety scheme so being in position is more important than speed. Darnell Savage was fast but often times out of position so time to move on.

The news of Aaron Jones going to Minnesota makes me sad as I would have cheered for him almost regardless of where he ended up. Although I’ll still cheer for him for 15 games, those two games against the Pack will be no-nos.

Jones is a good dude, now I can cheer for him for 15 games. Minnesota is probably going to draft a QB Or hopefully overpay in a trade/trade up with Chicago.

Eckler was a great value move, I think Swift was for the Bears as well. Eckler has much more upside but also age, injury history and miles as well.

Redskins signed Mariota!

Ouch! That hurts but it is true. I forgot about the Mandarich fiasco (maybe it's a mental blockage for self preservation).

I agree with you 100% on Sanders. He was incredible. When he scored a TD he didn't so any silly dance or spiking thingy, he just handed the ball to the ref. Act like you've been there before.

Mandarich’s book ("My Dirty Little Secrets”) is an interesting read, he flamed out of the league hooked on painkillers, got himself clean and had a good comeback with the Colts.

It was the time of physical freaks.

Guys like KGB…Alonzo Spellman then into a time with less roids with guys like Julius Peppers.

Roids can be real nasty. I wish they’d let the players use them on IR and also let them use THC instead of opioids for pain. Not of big fan of either but they do have their place if not abused.
