Just saw that. I certainly don't agree with getting rid of a first round QB that quick, and would keep him as a backup QB until he's ready, but I get the feeling he wanted to leave. Probably because he feels that he's ready and can do well elsewhere with a better O-line and he might be right but I doubt it. He's just not ready.

Iffin’ Pickett had a modicum of patience, he could have waited this season out and see how Mr. Unlimited performed. Either Russ would be great and price himself out of Pittsburgh or he would have been mediocre and not re-signed. But apparently Kenny has 0 patience (…and self awareness…) and couldn’t handle being relegated to 2nd string. It’s his second time not handling a demotion very well. Tomlin and Khan probably had enough of his immaturity and shipped him out before his cancerous attitude infected the locker room.
