Just got home. 9 hours on the road. Drive up there wasn't bad. Some light traffic in construction areas around Ohare and through Milwaukee but I had the cruise set at 70 and only had to come off a handful of times. Got 30mpg on the drive up. Drive home was heavy traffic through Milwaukee and then from north of Ohare on down to I-80 and then slow traffic from there to home. 3:40 there, 5:20 home. And only 22mpg on the drive home.

Rush is on the wishlist. None that I found at this place. Though I did force myself to stop digging for the sake of financial solvency

Morning folks.
Start of the work week for me. 70 heading to 90 and the seaport currently smells like s**t so as it gets warmer it will just be lovely.

Good morning fellas

Mild Sunday here in north central MA. Nice day. Nothing major planned other than do some laundry and visit an elderly friend of mine.

Crock pot is making some pasta sauce.
Store bought tomato sauce, tomato paste, diced tomatoes
Diced onion
Diced garlic
Basil and oregano from the garden
Diced green peppers from the garden
Browned ground beef
Browned hot Italian sausage.
Salt, pepper, some red pepper flakes and a few pinches of sugar to counter the acidity of the tomato sauce.

Mix it all together and let it simmer for a handful of hours so the flavors meld and the smell fills the house.

Hoping to go swimming today but woke up to 63° and rain.

Sposeda clear up soon and get up to 80 today. Still a bit chilly for me but I told the boy we'd go swimming and he don't care if it's 55°

Good afternoon, gentlemen. Enjoyed a strong pot of coffee and a cigar this morning. About time for another pot of coffee and another cigar.

Oooof. 1 big cup of coffee each morning is all I need.

Got the lawn mowed, then mowed the corn plot after my wife removed most of the stalks I cut down Friday. Going to weedeat around the fence line in the next couple days. Then it will be ready to plow when my seeds arrive.

Ball joint went out on the 2003 Cub Cadet rider. Wife ordered the part for that. Cleaned out the mowing deck on the push mower, after mowing the corn plot with it. It's a Cub Cadet SC500k. I've been impressed with the engine power so far--got 37 hours on it.

My wife harvested a lot of vegetables from the main garden. Tomatoes are going strong. Still getting a few squash here and there. :(

Bout to eat dinner and then water the garden.

That's pretty much it. Work with a little work sprinkled in.
