At the RNC people were happy and enthusiastic. At the DNC they were calling for the political opposition to be imprisoned while the line at the abortion bus was flowing like terrorists over the southern border. That’s a helluva vibe.

I don't understand why the speeches keep preaching about how they are gonna fix things in the country that are wrong in the next 4 yrs and continue to blame the Trump organization for what is wrong. Wait a second... Haven't the Democrats been in control of the Executive branch for the past 4 years? Were they not in the driver's seat for the past 4 years? Hasn't Trump been out of the driver's seat for the past 4 year but you are still blaming him for the issues that are wrong?

We promise to fix everything we screwed up or didn't fix the past 4 years so trust us, we will fix them in the next 4 years. Are you kidding me? This is your platform?

If you dropped off your car at a car shop and they couldn't fix it after numerous tries, would you take your car back there again? "We promise, we'll fix it this time." Sorry Charlie.

Great BS Contest of Democratic Convention, First Night

By Jim on August 20, 2024

What was the biggest BS of the first night of the Democratic National Convention? Biden, Raskin, Coons, Warnock, and others made heroic efforts to seize that prize.

As the DNC Lied, Kamala Harris' Odds to Win the Presidency Died According to Betting Site

'Tis better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.

This quote by Mark Twain... or Abraham Lincoln — it's still unclear as to who said it — is not advice that Democrats thought to take, because the more they opened their mouths during the DNC, the more people seemed to sour on them.

While it was always inevitable that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz would suffer what I call the "Disney dip" or what others are calling the "sugar high," it would appear the DNC sped the collapse.

According to the website Polymath, the largest website that deals with betting on everything, including presidential elections, as the DNC went on, gamblers began to put more stock into Trump winning and Harris losing. In fact, before the DNC, Harris was favored to win at 54 percent and Trump only at 44 percent. By the end of the third night, Trump was favored at 53 percent and Harris was at 46 percent.

Inverse correlation between the amount Democrats talk and their chances of winning.

— 🐺 (@LeighWolf) August 22, 2024

Again, this was all likely to even out at some point, but the DNC is meant to hype up candidates and reinforce them to the people, yet for some reason, the DNC just left a bad taste in too many mouths.

Of course, none of that should be surprising. Harris is currently in the White House and is promising to solve problems that she could start solving right now. Moreover, there was a lot of talk about the border last night and how Harris has been fantastic on it when anyone with two brain cells to rub together can know that was a massive lie.

Moreover, for all the "joy" and "unity" there was at the DNC, there sure was a lot of backstabbing, lying, and weirdness overall. As Becky Noble reported, there were 30 delegates who were "uncommitted" to Harris as a protest over Palestine.

One thing that haunts the Democrat Party is that they've been in charge for over a decade, and yet they have no answer as to why the country is in bad shape except to blame Trump who was only in charge for four of the last 16 years. This fact was brought up by CNN's Scott Jennings, who stunned his fellow CNN panelists into silence over the fact and noted that with all the time Democrats have to speak, no one is accounting for this.

CNN contributor stunned his fellow panelists by bringing up a simple fact:

Democrats have been in charge for 12 of the last 16 years yet they’re still blaming Trump for everything. pic.twitter.com/hgo2osZowu

Rest assured, even if the Democrats are avoiding asking themselves the question, the American people aren't. They probably ask it every time they receive a bill, fill up at the pump, and check out at the grocery aisle.

If I was a betting man, I'd put my money on Trump too, as the DNC showed America that they aren't a serious party and Kamala Harris is far from being a serious candidate.

When's the last time a CNN talking head said something that made sense??? AND was true???

Fair question, Brewha.
I try to post the videos or written commentary that is organized in a better, clearer way than I could do extemporaneously if I was replying to a post or contributing a thought. Usually the commentary is a reaction to what one of the postmodern progressives had said and they have the clip of the person stating their position or thoughts. In this way I do hear from the “opposition” but it is cherry picked. I watch CSPAN and Forbes which show unedited clips of politicians making their complete statements w/o commentary from a talking head. I think that gives me a better idea of what the opposition is saying w/o a talking head telling me what to think. I also watch other YouTube channels that have a person from both sides of the aisle, each making their arguments and having a quick watered down debate. I don’t read as much online commentary as I once did because my eyes get tired but I do read some. When I search a topic online the results are overwhelmingly left-leaning sources so I think I get a lot of opinions from the left of the political spectrum in that way. I do not have any left leaning sources that I watch regularly. That is probably a blind spot for me. I’m turned off by these sources because I think they are drenched in ideology. By this I mean to reference things like not recognizing the difference between a man and a woman or calling people white supremacists if they want a secure border, people who want to do away with the department of education hate children, etc., etc.. I realize that the conservative leaning sites have their own biased language but it doesn’t grate on me because I generally agree with their thinking on the underlying policy, even if their language or presentation is flawed or biased. Maybe I give myself too much credit, but I think I’m responsible in sorting out the bias in the sources that I usually consume. I hope this long reply isn’t word salad. I welcome your feedback if anything is on your mind. I know your post wasn’t directed to me but I thought it was a good discussion point.

Of course my question was for Ray - He seems to feel he is both capable and deserving of an actual discussion - So I asked an honest question. Not changing the opinions, you see.

I agree that most all of the media is pushing/selling opinions. On Fox and MSNBC the options often come before the "selected set of facts" - leaving no doubt about how you should feel about the issues. It really is a battle of words. And most lack the critical thinking to discern it.

"White Supremacists demand secure borders" What a crock. Everyone I ever met wants secure borders. but we are quick to say the "other side" (and always there has to be the opposition) wants crime, open borders and hates 'merica! We must have a war on these cowards!!
- just pick a side....any side will do......

When people cite an author to make a point or prove a fact that is a good thing. Cut and pasting the opinions of other is being a shrill. And - we have alot of those.
