I've seen a lot of famous folks, but the only "star" that I know is Sacramento Kings Guard Bobby Jackson.

Oh, yeah....I played basketball with a man named Adrian Dantley every day for about 3-4 months when I was in Bethesda, MD. He used to play for Notre Dame, and then played in 6 NBA All-Star games.

I was at Bear Valley Ski Resort 10 yrs ago. Was in a singles line trying to pair up with another single for the lift. I got on the lift with this stranger named "Bob", and we started talking about your everyday crapola.
I told him I was a little over my head on this mountain, but wanted to try to hang with my brother in law. He said let me see your stuff! I did. I had no stuff!
He gave me a 2hr ski lesson and then we parted. He wore a ski mask the whole time and I never saw him with it off.
Later at the lodge I saw him,he was still wearing the ski mask. I stopped him and introduced my wife and sister & bro in law.

When he removed the mask it was Robert Conrad!
I know some of you young guys are going, who the hell is Robert Conrad? He did a few things but was most noted for I believe, The wild wild west. He was a nice guy.

I've also met Cher in Tahoe's Harras Casino. She signed her name on a 5$ bill. She was nice too.

Mag, your mention of Bob Conrad stirs the memory ... you recall a short-lived TV series he starred in called High Mountain Rangers ??

I'm not even gonna mention names of famous people I've met, 'cause you guys will all just think I'm name dropping ... just chance and coincidence, I worked during college years in Sun Valley, ID when it was an "in" spot for celebs and was there for the Silver Anniversary party and for an off-year Republican convention ... I met 5-10 big show biz names and a boatload of big time politicos there ... for some years after that, I worked in the movie industry where I came in contact with quite a few big screen folks and in the area where I live now, have had the pleasure of meeting quite a few big league ballplayers and a number of football players ... before John Madden was on TV, I used to see him around town all the time ...

SteveS, maybe this will ring a bell. You dont need to be too very old to have seen this one. The "Black Sheep Squadron",He was "Pappy". The leader of these pilots in the show.

He also was, the 1st guy, maybe the only guy to want you to knock the battery off his shoulder, in a Eveready commercial.

Mag - "Bah bah Black Sheep.." Remember hearing those in my sleep..lol
SteveS, I respect your answer. I to have met many people that have gone onto more fame and some that no-one may had heard of in Hollywood terms. My brother once applied to be head Coach for the New Orleans Saints in the early 90's and introduced me to many. I love to travel and you meet all kinds of people in airports and abroad. No matter whom I might have met just remember they are all still people with feelings, concerns, and needs.

I've met lots of famous people.

Athletes, poloticians, actors, but the one that stands out is Emeril Legasse. He's even more charming in person. A real engaging person, a great chef, and a good author.

I ran into John Wooden in Detroit of all places. He was in town for something having to do with the McDonald's All American event. He gave me at least 10 minutes of his time, it was just like an interview. He gave me a very cool autograph that I have hanging in my den. I spent the evening calling all my friends,I was so high from it. Growing up in SoCal, he was/is my hero. Now if I could only meet Sandy Koufax.

I've only met a few that anyone would know -- General Norman Schwartzkoff (spelling?), and President Clinton, when they visited the bases I was stationed at. Ten of the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders that were kind enough to visit Korea with the USO, along with Lee Greenwood, Steve Martin, and a Playboy centerfold I can't recall the name of. And I met Bob Seger at a swimming quarry in southern Michigan before anyone knew who he was.

I have met John Wayne, Mickey Mantle among others but the most famous cigar smoker I have met would have been Jim Belushi at a bar in Newport Beach! He was not smoking a Lone Wolf!

I met the Pope when I was in Italy a while back. Although I didn't understand a single thing he said, it was still a pretty amazing experience.

Regis Philbin. I was on "Who wants to be a millionaire?" twice in 2000. I got to say hello both times. He seems nice enough. TV is decieving, he is a small man.

When you travel over 100K miles a year you tend to run into alot of celebs. To name a few: Elevator ride with w/ Ali and Don King, plane ride w/ Joe Montana, John Elway, and sat next to Sterling Sharp. Lunch w/ Namath when I was younger. Golfed w/ Aikman. Julia Roberts at the baggage claim area.

My favorite was a cross country plane ride with Tony Bennett. What a great guy and a real gentleman. I was traveling home for my Mom's 75th B'Day. He's quite the artist and he left me with a hand drawn birthday card and an autographed picture for Mom. Being a fellow ginzo, we talked plenty about music and food.
