Ok I know you folks hoped you had heard the last from this old Arkansas Hillbilly but let me interject something, A while back I asked the question - What is the best beverage to have with a fine cigar.I got all the typical answers,Single Malt Scotch,Port,Spring water, etc. All good answers,But the other night I stopped at the beer store on the way home after being out of the Country (Texas)As I was standing in line to pay for my six pack of Bush I noticed the Gentelman in front of me had a couple of Pimp Sticks in his shirt pocket, Asked him how he liked them(I never tried them)He said they were great,Then I noticed he had a bottle of Water Mellon Pucker ,I asked how he liked that(Ihad never tried that either)To Make a long story longer- The dude gave me a Pimp Stick,I bought a jug of the Pucker,AS I write this I Am sipping on the pucker as I enjoy the Pimp Stick.Moral of the Story - Just because the question has been asked before Don't mean their ain't no new answers, Well better go freshen up the pucker.Happy New Year You All.

As you can see by the original post date, this is a very old thread. It was posted at a time when there were a lot of threads posted about the rules of the board. Back when we had real substance in this forum. Who can ever forget the "why do these guys overbid thread" and the immortal "how many cigars a day do you smoke thread" - priceless!! I guess some things never change.

What a quandry ... the rules mandate that we talk of cigars, yet any question about how much to bid, which to bid on, how to store it (cello on or cello off, humidor or coolerador, etc), how to cut it, how to light it, whether to remove the band or leave it on, and how often to puff it are all fabled, dead horses ... even what to do with the old nubs has been pretty well covered ...

Perhaps the only remaining cigar related question that has not been asked or answered dozens of times, is how (or whether) to put your cigar out ... lay it down and walk away, douse it with water or try to squish it out ? What's your preference ???

The only thing older than this thread and its subject matter is the human tendency to long for "the good old days." It never ends.

Penzt8 lighten up. First of all take that cigar out your rear and loosen up. Second of all, there's a reason why all posts have titles to them. Has it ever occured to you to just skip the ones you don't find intresting? Or do you just HAVE to read every single post? Dude this is a public board, again PUBLIC board, anyone can post whatever they want as long as it doesn't offend anyone and has somehting to do with cigars or people of c-bid the its perfectly within their rights to post whatever they want, and whenever they want, to their hearts' content

crusier --- that IS you ... check the date of your post ... and glad to see you back!

As far as StogeeBoy and fishbopper are concerned, I still get a kick out of topping these 'very old' threads once in awhile, and seeing the reactions they get from the more recent folks ... and it looks like the responses haven't changed a bit ... LOL!

The point I was trying to make in resurrecting this thread from September 2000, was to show that at almost 4 years later ... it amazes me that the same topics are still being hashed over.

I guess ... that because of the nature of these forums being on a cigar businesses auction site, newcomers to cigar smoking will always be coming on board ...

... and the 'dead horse' questions will forever be asked ...
