Anybody know anything about how effective the 30,000 BTU natural gas wall or free standing heaters are. $189 at Menards. These are ventless too. Supposedly heats up to 1,000 sq. ft. LMK GREG
I was thinking about making it portable. My overhead door is about 30 ft. from my natural gas quick disconnect fitting for my grill. I figured if I got myself a 35 ft. line with the quick disconnect fittings I could hook it up when I needed it.

Do you need to heat your garage while you smoke your cigars? If yes, a cheaper alternative is to get a propane heater. Go to your local hardware store and get a single burner (40 bucks)attach it to a propane tank and youre all set.

My buddy has one of those wall heaters. It sucks. Worked fine for a little while, it's been a shelf for the past few years.

thats what i did.. they also have a double burner for like 10 bucks more i was debating on that but figured it would burn up 2x as much fuel..

My brother has one of the double burners. Don't know how much gas it uses but I know it throws out some heat. We used it in our garage one New Years Eve, it was about 20 outside and nice and warm in the garage. We even had a window open for ventilation.

As a point of reference I get about 10 hours out of a full size propane tank with my 46,000 BTU outdoor heater

A full size propane tank is what size? I was looking at 20 - 100 lb. tanks?

I've got a kerosene heater that works real well... trouble I have is finding a place that sells kerosene in bulk.. it's too expensive to buy a gallon a time at the hardware store...

Yeah, I'm picking up one of those propane tank-top heaters, Czech.

I'm freezing my butt off in the garage up here.

How safe are the propane heaters. I don't want to burn down

As long as you keep it a couple of feet from the wall you should be fine. My single burner gets my 2 car garage nice and warm in about 30 minutes. I have a box fan that i turn on every 1/2 hour for about 20 seconds just to circulate the warm air in the garage. 1 tank lasts me the entire winter....but I do not smoke in the garage daily. regardless....a 20 dollar propane tank will be cheaper than running your electric bill through the roof with a space heater or heaters.🇨🇮

I purchased a 28000 BTU natural gas heater for my porch 2 years ago and have been very happy with it. I fire it up about 20 minutes before I lite one up and I am in hog heaven.
