I wonder when the 50,000 Gurhkha Blue Steels will run out. I should get more before they're gone.

You must be joking about the blue steels, they are one of the Gurkha I do not like. If you are serious, I'll have a few in stock as I'm very reluctant to smoke them.

Yeap, and those few boxes of Noventa that Charlie had stashed away must be breeding in the back of the warehouse like frack'n rabbits. I think there may be some cross-breeding going on though, as the offspring taste nothing like their parents.
The ultra-premium Torano Noventa has been off the market for a while now. It was always intended as a one-time release, and all the cigars were supposedly sold out. But a little while back, Charlie Torano let slip that he still had some boxes remaining. I played it cool, acted indifferent, then made a half-serious low-ball offer on the whole lot. Somehow, he accepted. And now I’m passing along the savings....well over $200 off per box.

you seem awfully upset over this steve... unfortunately, when free speech and and capitalism meet, this is the end result...

just look at the mess that Jimmy Dean's husband Paula has gotten herself into... she used the n-word, a bunch of people formed an opinion about her and openly voiced that opinion, and now nobody gets the recipe for her hot dogs cooked in butter...

the same thing has happened here (not really the same thing at all but I couldn't resist using a Paula Dean analogy)... A bunch of people bought the titan's you guys sell, thinking they were getting the original gurkha titans... instead they got inferior tobacco rolled by sub-standard factories... the end result was that people formed opinions and then voiced those opinions and now nobody will pay more than a buck or two for your titans...

it's not that all gurkha's are necessarily bad... gurkha has just earned a bad name...

to stay with the car analogy, if Rolls Royce started letting hyundai manufacture their cars but still called it a Rolls Royce, word would get around about Rolls Royce and eventually few if any consumers would spend more than $15K for them... are hyundai's bad? No, their just not the Roll's Royce of cars... and Gurkha's not even the hyundai of cigars...

I hope your were speaking tounge and cheek about Paula DEEN and whom she is married to [frypan] 🤦
Thoughts on Gurkha cigars..Never had one and always looking to try?
At $2 a stick, what is the risk in trying it? This thread has been an eye opener for me as I thought Gurkhas was a sought after brand. I didn't know the Beast I won on here was not the same Beast that is on the Gurkhas website. And the Black Dragon is not the same either. But you know what? I doesn't matter, because I am sure I am going to have fun smoking them, good or bad. If they are bad, I won't get any new ones.

In recent times.....mass produced garbage imvho. Smoked way too many with construction issues. Years ago I do recall some of them being decent. I have found most Gurkhas to be boring. Haven't smoked one in a couple of years.

You may like them.

My brother does.

Some confusion(probably because of the sausage), I think Paula was married to James and not Jimmy Dean.

I was sitting in Rahul's shpo today when a guy, new to cigars, came in and was looking for some cigars.

He said that he had tried a Gurkha and liked it. I told him that he was in luck because Rahul carries about 1,000 cigars better than Gurkhas. He bought a couple more of them anyway but I did talk him into getting a JDN Antano 1970 since he wanted something strong.

I shall never fight in the armed forces with a negro by my side ... Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds. —Robert C. Byrd, in a letter to Sen. Theodore Bilbo (D-MS), 1946

Yet he kept his book deals......was Paula Dean ever in the KKK?
