Ok. Here's my story. I've been smoking cigars for approximately 2 months now and love it! I absolutely love it! Smoking one stick every evening, with the exception of Saturdays and Sundays (where I'll likely smoke 2 throughout the day). I've managed to collect a stash of about 100 cigars between to humis. Mostly RP OWR and AF 858 madies and sungrowns. Used to love them. Keyword USED.

Here's the deal. The local BOTL at the B&M gave me (for free, ****) a Graycliff pirate cut espresso about a week ago. Awesome smoke! So, what's the problem you may ask?...well, I don't enjoy my $10 sticks anymore! Every time I light up an 858 or a RP, all I can do is think about how incomparable it is to the Graycliff...to the point where I HAD to go pick up a Graycliff! What can I do to stop this irrational behavior? I can't afford to smoke a $30 stick every night. How do I get myself to re-enjoy my 'regular' sticks again?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Kindest Regards,

Peter A.

First off you need to stop goin to that B&M, they be screwing you. Lots of good cigars out there in the 5 to7 price range that are just as good. Experiment with a few and see what you like and stay away from 28 dollar sticks.

Any recommendations for comparable smokes at a lower price point? I'm in CA if that helps (higher tobacco state taxes). I'm not trying to justify the price, but most of the B&Ms in my area (Los Angeles) charge mid to high 20s for the pirate cut Graycliff torpedoes.

Well, don't I feel like an idiot. And the black label isn't quite helping at the moment.

That's a $25 savings on every cigar.

You might even get an entire box for $34.57

Smoke away.

buy your cigars online... I'm in CA too, and it's not worth it trying to buy cigars at a b&m on a regular basis out here... you have 2 local shops I'm familiar with down there that roll their own cigars... easy on the wallet for CA prices and pretty nice smokes...

not sure what part of LA you're in but I'll send you a pm with the names and addresses... one is in temple city and the other is in koreatown... if delta gets on here I'm sure he can tell you much more than me... he's the only reason I've tried cigars from either...

Well, I bought 2 at $27 each and was given one for free. All in all it appears that I've been taken for $52. :/

Went on cbid and can't find any 'GCs' for $2 though. Maybe I need patience.
