do you guys think that the temperature and humidity affect the taste of the cigar or just how it burns?

I think it's just the burn!

From what I have read it sounds like both but I really don't have enough cigar time under my belt to say for myself.

Hard to say but cigars do taste so much better in Texas than say Bahrain or Kuwait.

I think taste and burn.

Some cigars taste better closer to the edge of burn problems than others.

to be clear, I think it varies from cigar to cigar. Some I can't tell any difference, others seem to gain.

It's another factor like age.

Believe it affects the burn primarily due to draw resistance and over time affects the flavor.
Humidity too high and the draw is tough and hard to keep it lit.
Over humidified sticks also seem to have less taste. - something along the lines of how a dry aged steak is better than a fresh cut steak. If it is too moist, the cigar has to overcome the excess moisture before the flavor profile comes through.

Temperature not as much of an issue as long as it does not get high enough to have a beetle hatch

^ What he said. I have noticed some cigars taste more acrid if the RH is too high.

The burn affects the taste.

Take a perfectly seasoned cigar and smoke it.
Yummy.
Now take that cigar and puff on it constantly for 5 minutes.
Yuck.

So humidity affects the taste by default, or indirectly through the improper burn.
