Did a small trade with a BOTL on here because he was looking for a few I had. Went to the PO this evening to find the box looking like this. Either the PO is as it again or my ex is still crazy. Well, she is still crazy but I bet it is the PO. There will be hell to pay in the morning! [ram27bat]

Sorry to hear dude. You should at least get $50 though right? Isn't that a new flat rate that comes with insurance?

Filled a claim online. Haven't heard back yet. I was told they may give me some flak because it was cigars.....which everything I have read while shipping USPS reads no shipping cigarettes or smokeless tobacco. Just another way they can continue to be the nameless/faceless beast and provide a **** service with no responsibility to their work.

Priority flat rate should have $50 in insurance.

I've never actually gotten them to pay up on a claim though...

How in the hell does a package end up like that?
Did it happen to get caught up in the Washington mud slide?

https://www.usps.com/ship/domestic-tobacco-restrictions.htm

With few exceptions, cigarettes and smokeless tobacco shipments cannot be mailed. This applies to domestic shipments, as well as inbound and outbound international shipments. Cigars are still mailable domestically, as well as internationally, unless prohibited by the destination country.

And again after the list of rules, in case the first time wasn't clear:

Note: these rules do not apply to cigars, which continue to be mailable matter.

That is FUBAR. Not surprised that this can happen at the quasi-governmental agency called the USPS. People complained a lot about NPR but the USPS is a much worse drain on the budget than NPR ever was. JMO

Agree about government agencies pretty much fucckking up a wet dream 90% of the time.

Just wonder how much the extreme weather came into play on this one. I currently am missing 2 shipments. Completely a no-show. One from back east and one from ......... well, you know. .........and I think the "you know" comes through Atlanta. Supposedly it's been in US Customs for a month and a half. 🤔

Absolutely not. Your end was full of good sticks and I appreciate a good trade with any BOTL. It is the continued poor quality of service of the middle man that is under scrutiny. I died a little inside when I saw those sticks, especially when I saw that Camacho....one of my go to smokes.
