I'm somewhat of a connoisseur of the Corojo's. In fact, I'm enjoying a 08/22 with a few fingers of Makers. I haven't had any of the new stuff since the CE left and the labels changed.

Better/Worse/Same???

Have some of the old at B&M. I know they have the old triple maddy for sure. If anyone wants some let me know.

According to the folks at the "new" Camacho, the Triple Maddie is one blend (maybe the only one?) that hasn't and will not be changed.............who really knows I suppose...

Kinda figured they were gonna suck. The Eiroa's seemed to really care about the brand. Can't see a big company like Davidoff putting in the same kind of boots on the ground. My guess is the brand will get lost.

Maybe.......but they're sure pushing hard toward the "macho" cigar smoker niche...............might work?

I find the marketing campaign lame beyond belief......."badazz everyday smokes"..........

A heavily tatted and pierced dude sucking on those new pink label Camachos is prolly enough to make Jade dizzy........

Exactly. More focus on marketing and less on the cigar. Any bets on how quickly this goes down the CAO/VS path?

I really hope that doesn't happen Anthony 😞 I'm a big corojo fan as well as a Honduran tobacco fan. The Camacho was one of the only premium's that fit that profile. I've had two of the new corojo's and one of the new connies. I'm sad to say that I noticed a difference in both, especially in the connies. In fact, my friend and I were smoking the connies at the same time and he was really taken-a-back by the difference.

I've been getting my puro Honduran corojo fix from the CLE's.

I'm kinda glad people don't like the new(er) version of the Corojo. I think "no" or "not as good as the old version" is the general consensus, which means there are always good deals to be had. I think they are a good full bodied, medium-full strength smoke; especially if you let them sit in your humidor for 3 months or longer before smoking. In my experience they seem to get better the longer you let them sit.

The American Barrel Aged is a fantastic cigar. The most unique cigar I have ever had.
