A few of these were in a box at the local lounge. Its a camacho band I'm unfamiliar with. Makes me think its an old camacho. smoked GREAT. I'm gonna go buy the rest I think. Box was stamped DK08. Does that mean 2008?

looks like it could be the pre-embargo. If so, nice score. It may not be though.

Buy 'em all.

Those are from the Camacho 10th Anniversary Corojo series. They commemorated the Eiroa family's 10th anniversary of growing authentic corojo tobacco from seeds acquired from Daniel Rodriquez, the grandson of Diego Rodriguez the inventor of the corojo tobacco. This is the original corojo seed that was no longer grown by/for anyone but the Eiroa's. For the most part original corojo is no longer grown due to it's susceptibility to blue mold. he only corojo grown now is a derivative of the original corojo.

If you don't want them, I would be interested in acquiring them.

IIRC, 2008 sounds about right for when they changed to that band. Didn't the 10th anny corojo's have a foot band that said 10th anniversary on them though?

Camacho Scorpions also had that band. The were denoted as scorpions on the side of the band.

Yeah, so 2007 RTDA would be about a 2008 public availability.

The bands in the photos you linked to don't match the cigar in the OP's photo though. OP's band appears to be more rectangular, rather than narrowing on the sides after the logo area in the linked photos, plus OP didn't mention a foot band.

I think we have the right era, and maybe/possibly the right line (Corojo) just not that exact cigar in the linked article which was the 11/18 10th anny.

Were the 10th anni eventually the corojo diploma because that is what the band looks like to me. Either way yes they are an old camacho.

Most of those bands have their vitola printed on the right side.

Did a little research. It's not the 10th Anniversary line. Its from the Diploma line. I checked the humidor. I have a box with a code of DK10. I just took a picture of one from a box in my humidor. It should be posted up soon.

About half way down is a picture with five cigars. It is the one all the way to the left.

RE 10

That sounds about right and more like what I was remembering after making the earlier posts and nit explaining very well.

Either way that is a keeper. I would purchase all that I could get my hands on. Great smoke - especially with some age.

It was labeled as a diploma. It had the gold foot band, not a 10th anni foot band. I'll be stopping by tonight to buy rest.

No, old photo. That was the updated packaging of cigars that had been around many years already. That was the band prior to the current " Everlast boxing glove" logo.

Oh, and to be clear, I don't know if cbid is selling that older one / band or never updated the photo and if selling the current one.
