Over the past four months I have bought and sampled 5 of this series.

E.P. Carillo
Drew Estate
Nestor Placencia
Perdomo
Rocky Patel

E.P Carillo has an earthy/ barnyard taste that I sometimes enjoy. Creamy thick smoke. However, in a blind taste test I probably couldn't tell the difference between this and an El Mejor. Very similar taste.

Drew Estate has an interesting sweet flavor and my wife likes the aroma. I bought a box and have 16 left which should take me a couple years to smoke. It's one of the only infused/sweet cigars I might like.

Nestor Placencia left me flat...I may have smoked all 5 too soon. It was unremarkable.

Perdomo was a completely tasteless airball. I only smoked 2. Put the rest away in hopes that more time will do something or anything to these.

Rocky Patel tastes terrible to me. Maybe just not in my "wheelhouse".

All of these are well made cigars...no complaints about performance. It's just that none of them inspired me to buy more. I fully intended to try the rest of the Legends lineup....But sometimes I just gotta say enough is enough.

Any thoughts? I did a search and I know that this series has been discussed in the past and that many people like them.

They all threw together cigars to make people shaddup.

I mean no offense by this but you did by a box of the de coppers right?There only one I personally have tried and thought was decent....lilsweet hazelnut taste....is ok imo...The patel I believe I did not even go but few puffs....Have .ot tried the others.....

Just the concept of these would throw up a red flag that they're no good.

I have enjoyed the "Don Pepper" yellows in the past. They have been tasty nice smokes right out of the box albeit with inconsistent packing and wrapper. Nice spicy start (which I like) more complex about halfway through. .Last one I had was in humi for about 6 months and it had lost all the pepper. Still a nice smoke, but liked it a lot better "fresh"

Got a 5'er of the E.P Browns at a low price and have to say it was disappointing right off the truck. Good construction and LOTS of smoke but was all "hay/grassy" and nothing else. Did not enjoy. Going to let the other 4 rest a while and see if any better

Only tried the DPG, yellow, and as stated above, was pretty good. Didnt age any, but will buy again

Never have tried but I've seen enough - reviews to make me not ever try them.

The DPG was good and I've heard the Perdomo was also good, but I"m still of the fence on the Perdomo.

I had bought some DPGs, they had good flavor, but all the wrappers on the ones I smoked fell apart on me.

Probably wouldn't buy again because of it.

A few years ago I bought the assortment from the mothership. The only one I liked was the Drew Estate. However, as my taste in cigars changed, I grew to dislike any infused cigars. I should have been warned by the fact that one of the cigars in the assortment was made by Puros Indios.

IMHO your money is better spent on those producers buying cigars from their regular line up. As I understand it Legends is a lineup of cigars designed to retail for $5 each. Pay a $1 more each here and get be better quality cigars.

The original Perdomos were excellent, then CBID started selling 15 packs and they went down hill (ask Ram) and the Nestor Placencia used to be awesome too.

I don't buy legends anymore.

The mild coppers make a good dessert smoke when you're with non-cigar friends. Gives off a pleasant aroma.

Very true. Although I like the DP yellows, you can get "real" DPs here and often on the daily/weekly specials for about the same price.

The Nestors (Maroon) used to be terrific cigars. Ain't had one in years, though

Agree on the Nestor Maroons, they ended up being the only ones I liked. I have 5'ers of the EPC and AJ , but haven't gotten around to trying one.

I just tried one of the new Oliva Legends and was impressed. I would say it's the best one of the Legends line, and I've tried most of them.

LA aurora black label was the best imo then the yellow peppin

Have not had a Legend in years, but enjoyed the early Nestors, DPGs, and Perdomos.

I have no idea if the leaf in those cigars is still the same from about 4 years ago. I liked the Nestors and Perdomos OTT, and the DPGs with a nap to mellow out.
