I'm finding, when I read reviews and other pellet smoking forums, that most folks agree Traeger was much better when it was made here. The guys with the older models seem to have much less trouble than the guys with the chinese made units.
I have 2 buddies at work who have the Texas Pro and love it... but it's their first smoker, so they don't really have that much knowledge. Another has a Traeger Elite, and it's his first, too. The brisket we did on his came out slap your momma good.
Through "Promotive" I can get the Texas Pro, a cover for it, a shelf for it, and 3 bags of pellets for $1,017.75. (20% off)
Now you've got me thinking I should just stick with the WSM... or blow the extra coin on the Pellet Pro. Either way I am keeping the WSM.
