I coat the glass with dry vermouth, the use either Burnetts gin or Hendricks gin. 2 olives, if Burnetts garlic olives, if Hendricks almond olives. Even though Burnets is inexpensive I like it.
Burnett's is one of the many Heaven Hill brands. HH is known for making stuff that's smooth, delicious and yet somehow very cheap. I don't know how they do it, but they do it, and I hope they keep doing it for the rest of my life.
And yes, their gin, in the green-tinted plastic bottle, has a quality level that's VERY VERY hard to believe given its price of around $16-18 for a 1.75L handle.
Try it with tonic water. Delicious. I like to use Canada Dry 0-calorie tonic water, sweetened with saccharin, my preferred artificial sweetener. If you like saccharin too, give it a try. The combination is great, and cheap!
