He'll be on morphine for a day or so after surgery, and then on oxycodone, so his butt aint gonna be working anytime soon...I see Milk of Magnesia in his diet within three or four days...

All is well.. already been up on my feets.. hurts but there's a nerve blocker thing going on.. when it wears off they said I'll know it..

That's OK, especially for pain relief with the morphine drip...try not to eat too much...you'll appreciate that advice in a few days...and do all the exercises and physical therapy. Glad the surgery went well. Keep the limits of the artificial knee in mind, too.

No morphine drip or catheter this time... Experimented with a few pain meds till we found a good cocktail.. funny how nurses have different outlooks on them. Last night my nurse went out of her way trying to ease the pain. The nurse today acts like I don't need them and has made me wait almost an hour after requesting them... Then had to come interview me before she went to get them... Asked her to change my bandages cause they were leaking last night... She thought they'd be ok till tomorrow.. I insisted and she finally agreed.. prolly won't get anymore pain meds from her now... 😟
