You are right tho, the dryer is prolly the easiest appliance to repair.. not much to them if you can read a schematic.. washers, dishwashers are simple also... Refrigerators and ice makers aren't bad unless you have a freon issue..

Washers, too. I repaired mine with a $60 electric valve I ordered online.

Well thas odd, my dryer broke the other day as well. It was an easy fix. All I had to do was run new line from each of the poles and put the cloths pins back on it. Took me about 5 minutes and made the wife happy.

Dryers are so easy to fix that I refuse to unplug them just to make it a challenge.

No plans... But if you have a volt meter and a schematic you should be able to isolate the problem... 😟

Electrical system map basically.. should be on a plate or owners manual...
Is it getting cold..??
Is it getting water..??

I was kidding...I did watch some utub stuff...water lines appear ok, but no ice in tray...I suspect it's a switch issue, tempted to just replace the ice unit, but if I do, I'm sure I'll find that the problem was elsewhere

The defrost timer is a common failure.. you can jump the solenoid valve also to see if it's letting water thru or not... Good luck.. just think of it as a puzzle.. use the process of elimination to isolate the problem.. 😟

Exactly! That's what I've done....I used processes to eliminate all the things that I'm willing/capable/able to do!

Ya seen that recent commercial where crap breaks in the house and the guy says "I can fix that"....and the wife says "Hell no. Call xxxx"...that guy is me
