Moving this thread back on track...does Trump still have any credibility when speaking out against NFL players and their disrespect for the flag, how the flag represents our men and women in the military, how many of our servicemen and women have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms?

Hah... and Trump is trustworthy? Trump is about the least trustworthy witness in any occasion. If we ask him what he said he'd just state "I told her the best things, it was the most moving and beautiful call she had ever gotten".

You don't have a leg to stand on when you're trying to claim someone's account is less trustworthy than trumps. I don't care if the statement is about the underwear he's currently wearing, I wouldn't trust him not to lie.

Interestingly, Kelly agrees with the congresswoman. Here's what Kelly states he told trump to say:

"He was doing exactly what he wanted to do when he was killed. He knew what he was getting into by joining that 1%. He knew what the possibilities were because we were at war,. And when he died he was surrounded by the best men on this earth, his friends."

So... whether trump got that entire sentence out, I don't know. But Kelly states he told him to include the phrase: "He knew what he was getting into.."
Kelly specifically has not denied that he said this.

Contrast that with trump's response:
"Democrat Congresswoman totally fabricated what I said to the wife of a soldier who died in action (and I have proof). Sad!"

Trump denies he said any of it. When his chief of staff says "hey, I've got this long quote which someone said to me when my son was killed... you should say this"... and the congresswoman and mother say that trump said a subset of the words...

Worst case trump SHOULD have stated "they only are quoting a small amount of the entire sentence". But he doesn't care about the truth. He'd rather blatantly lie and just say it's totally fabricated.... are you willing to bet your lunch that it's totally fabricated?
