Thanks, guys. But the wife deserves the credit. All her idea. I figured I could just chauffeur and smoke cigars. But, once we got going, I admit it was pretty satisfying....fun, even. Spent a good half hour at one bus stop near a shelter just talking to the guys. Froze our azzes off, but found it difficult to say, "Merry Christmas....but, I'm freezing my azz off, so we're taking off"

Prime rib Tuesday was outstanding. I've tried it all kinds of ways....high heat first.....low and slow and finish with high heat....but, wife did it this time with high heat, oven off for a few hours (door closed at all times), high heat to finish...came out perfect.

Well Santo is out until after Los Dia del Tres Reyes (Epiphany Sunday) and I'm not gonna do a brake job in 40 degree rain. Matter of fact, I refuse to do the rear breaks myself any longer because of how crappy it is to put drum breaks on. Coincidently my tranny broke down a few days later and 1st is shifting rough now. 4th and 5th are no longer able to shift at all. I'm hoping it's just the sensor gone awry or hell, maybe a glitch in the TCM because I'm not ready to spend 2k on an overhaul. Grant it, it's been shifting funny ever since I bought it seven years ago and the transmission pan did take a direct hit from a window unit at 70mi/hr a few years ago. I was just hoping i could get 70k more miles on it and have the money ready by the time I hit 300k. This'll definitely put a damper on the frivelous expenditure budget if I have to pony up for an overhaul but then again I do drive pretty frivelously as it is.

I used to know a couple guys that could get you one on the cheap.. hadn't seen them in a while tho.. 🤔

I got a couple places I could take it. If I can drive it for another month as is that wouldn't be too bad but I hate how 2nd gear engages then spins down and all of a sudden jerks the vehicle again. I thought maybe it was the new brakes gripping the rim too tight but we were able to spin the tires by hand on the lift with no issue. Capilers were disengaged like normal. I was almost going to have the poor guys redo the entire break job until I saw that.
