That’s why I hate it when a couple folks in here agree with me on things. They tend to weaken the argument lol. (Not talking about you or this issue)

I don't have any direct knowledge about AR-15s...I have no desire to own such a weapon...I am satisfied that my two handguns and a 7 shot lever action Winchester rifle from the 19th century would adequately protect my family and me...

I'm merely repeating back what was reported by so-called experts, after the Las Vegas shooting, where the killer was said to have fired up to 400 rpm using bump-stocks. Other articles say a well trained shooter can fire more than two rounds, up to three rounds per second with a professionally modified AR-15...to make a more general point...

I don't think the detail about 400 rpm, or even 100 rpm, is the reason some folks disagree. They don't believe that highly lethal weapons are part of the problem... I could have said 60 rpm and they would've disagreed....

Of course I'm being sarcastic, but your "rounds per minute" argument could be used to outlaw 95% of all current firearms.

Jerry Miculek in 1999 fired 10 rounds from a revolver in 1 second. That equates to 600 rounds per minute. He also did 6 rounds, A RELOAD, and 6 more rounds in 2.99 seconds. That means under ideal conditions, he could technically fire 240 rounds a minute from a 6 shot revolver including RELOADS. Oh, and he wasn't wildly spraying, as ALL rounds where ON TARGET.

I'm just trying to show you that the "rounds per minute" argument is a slippery slope that could be used to ban virtually all firearms, even your 2 handguns and lever action. If the AR-15 can be baned due to it's rate of fire, so can every semi-auto rifle/handgun, along with revolvers, lever actions and pump guns.
