So, for some unknown reason I like torch lighters - I have/use probably 20 and I also have about 40 various lighters NIB - I find a lighter I like and I buy a bunch more in case they go the way or the dodo.

Anyway, that’s not the point of this post. With all those lighters, I typically carry a Zippo with a Zplus dual flame insert. They’re light and compact and I’ve never had, amazingly, any issues with the zplus.

So, the other day, I’m on amazon and I see Zippo *brand* single and dual flame inserts. WHO KNEW? Why didn’t I get the memo? I ordered several and so far, so good.

I’m not certain how long these have existed, but it was news to me.

Nice. Thanks for sharing that. I've got a bunch of Zippos from my cig smoking days in the Nav. It would be great to get those back into play. 😁

I decided I will not buy a lighter unless it has some sort of hand adjustable flame adjustment.

If you pull out the insert and have a small screwdriver in your hand, it is hand adjustable 😉

I have an Air Force one gifted to me on here (secret Santa, I believe). I bought the single flame torch insert. I don’t use it often but it seems to work just fine. 👍🏻😀

had one a couple of years ago...used it as a pocket lighter, much like when I used to smoke cigarettes 35-40 years ago...my friend broke it while fiddling with it... opening and lighting it and closing it over and over again...

For any new cigar smoker I just recommend buying a Xikar Tech Double, or several if desired (if you want backups, or you have multiple smoking locations you want one in, etc.)

Double jet is the best configuration I've found overall (meaning for initial lights and touch-ups), plus it has a tank that is both the simplest in the world to read, the easiest to fill completely (bleed fully, fill until the level stops rising, bleed a little again, fill the rest of the way) while visually verifying the fill the entire time, and it's the largest-capacity tank of any similar-sized (pocked-sized) lighter, too. The range of the flame level wheel within the unit's larger full range is easily adjustable too, with a small screwdriver and 2 minutes of your time (and Xikar's YouTube channel has a video that shows you how to do it). Oh, and unconditional no-questions-asked, no-proof-of-purchase, free-replacements-forever warranty too.

Can't beat it and nothing else is needed, IMO

At the "scary site", they're $25, meaning $20 after using the standing 20% off code, and include free shipping, if you're patient and wait for them to come up.

You know I love my multitude of Xikars, but I also like the ability to use a Zippo that has a cool design - today I've got a Washington Nationals WS Championship lighter in my pocket. I also routinely carry either an IDF or Mossad zippo.

Certain I have 4...….maybe more.

My favorite deer rifle is an A-Bolt Medallion in 25-06...…...bout 25 years oold and I wouldn't trade for anything out there.

I also have a BDM in 9mm...….sweetest trigger pull on a DA I have ever shot

I have a Hi-Power I lent to my son when he was working in corrections...…...he's been out of that field about 5 years, time to get it back.

Also have a Citori O/U 12ga......I never shoot it,just too pretty to take out in the field.I have a couple lesser O/U 12/s for the duck blind and quail/dove fields.

Hey, I have one of those as well. Mine is the two-tone "practical" version. I love that gun and I concur on the trigger pull. Got a ton of mags for it too. Love it.

I love those O/U's. My dad has an Ithaca 20ga that was actually built by SKB in Japan and labeled for Ithaca. Man is that a great dove and pheasant gun. Light and fast.
