Been dealing with sinus congestion and headaches for about 4 days. In the midst of a bad headache I took off to Walgreens to get one of those plastic bottles that come with the salt packets so I could flush my sinuses. Used to have one but, I can’t find it.

So I squirted about 1/3 of a cup up each side. I’ve used them before so I knew I’d have vertigo for a few minutes afterwards. I felt like I was in the matrix. Seems I was rotating on a least 4 axis at the same time. I grabbed the countertop and hung on for what felt like an eternity when in reality it was a minute or so. But, my headache is gone so it was worth the magic carpet ride.

Niel Med Sinus Rinse. I use it whenever I get a sinus infection, but it has never done that to me.

Sounds like you were just looking for an excuse to snort bath salts.
Be careful. And don’t chew nobodies face off...

Wow, be careful out there, if you get an uncontrolled urge to eat your boss’s face, I suggest seasoning it first. 😂🤣😂

still use my trusty neti pot and Neil Med Saline Sinus rinse packets...

wonder if abrignac's vertigo is caused by the rinsing liquid getting into his inner ear?

Glad you're doing better, sounds rough, especially the 4 day headache.

I've fought sinus problems most of my life. Constant drainage, etc. After the lung full of blood clots, I was put on an Advair Diskus, Singulair and a Flonase sniffer every day. I told my doctor I knew he was just trying to keep me on steroids. Such is my life.

I've also suffered from sinus problems my entire life...few years ago, had surgery for deviated septum and turbinate bone reduction which helped somewhat...but symptoms slowly returned, but not as severe...

best thing was not replacing our cats when they died...

living in smoggy SoCal is the issue...have to take Flonase and a steroid inhaler daily...

Try alkalol. It’s an essential oil based rinse that opens things up.

Thanks, TW,
Haven't seen that locally, but may have to give it a try during the terrible tree pollen season in the early Spring. The worst time for me is when they spray the crop defoliant around here in the last summer/fall. That stuff is poison!!! Little, if anything helps while that stuff is in the air. I have a highly sensitive and discerning palate, I can smell the stuff from miles away. Wife finally learned to believe me, she can barely smell it. Although one rate last two years she has become more aware of the smell and admits it's a pain in the head!

you used to live here in SoCal, Numi...did the smog make things worse for you?

I ask because my symptoms seem to improve somewhat when I vacation in Hawaii, where the prevailing winds blow the smog away...

I only "lived there" a few weeks at a time, when I was traveling all over the COUntry with that buying group. Although when you stay in CA for a few months out of a year, it's almost the same as living there, AND Yes, I definitely had more drainage, headaches, etc. Especially when we would be in Culver City, right next to the 405!!!

Sinus problems are a pain. I have allergies, get two shots every two weeks, it has helped a ton, but... I also get migraines and migraines symptoms often present as sinus problems.

I know of a surgeon that used to do sinus roto-router surgeries and got into migraine management because too many patients got no relief from the surgery, their problem was actually migraines.
