Im new to this particular site, and have won about 1/2 dozen auctions. But I cant figure out these shipping charges. One auction ship was 5.95,but I was charged 7.62 not including sales tax. And what exactly is "excise tax"? There doesn't seem to be any formula to this. As you're aware, CB says shipping gets less expensive if 2 or more auctions are won. What am I missing??
Thanks,
Newbie

Excise tax means that you're chipping in to buy the Vets some extra smokes.

Well, apparently your gaddam phone, since you haven’t bothered to call Frankie!

Poor newb asks a sincere question and gets Gurkha blown in his face.
Clicking on the "shipping charges" button would've been so much easier to get an accurate accounting of said fees but I suppose this could be more fun. So I'll leave it alone.

Kevin are you still here. Kevin 811 would have been a much better sounding moniker.

Probably just a birth date and he held it off so it wouldn't ruin the wedding.

I remember when it first came out and we “discovered” them. Basically it just means we put on the demo album and liked what we heard. Then it would be played a couple times a day or whenever someone started work and wanted to listen to it.

The downside is that we were always looking out for the next new thing so by the time an artist would become popular, we had heard our fill but customers would come in and ask to play the “new” album while they were shopping. You can’t imagine how much I HATE the Fleetwood Mac “White” and “Rumours” albums ‘cause almost every Tom, Susan and Nancy would come in and ask to hear it...months after it had charted at #1.

But back to your point, I have a colored vinyl promo of that first VH album...somewhere. 🤔
