I wouldn't be able to respond to your dumb azz when you decide to type something stupid.

RayRay... without progressivism, you would still be in a cave and we wouldn't be having this conversation...

People before us with ideas on how to make the world a better place... seeking state financing... getting the funding, building the dream!

Most dreams fail, but the ones that work out diver further advancement.

You act as if we could have done what we've done without progressivism... you think we could have done what we've done throughout our history without a functioning government.

That's just pipe dream sh*t...

In fact, I think that's what I'm going to start calling you... pipe dream.

Seriously, talking to you makes me question whether we truly are pack animals... then I have to take a step back, look at the rest of the world... yep still pack animals you silly lone wolf you.

So without Progressivism we'd be living in caves because people couldn't get gubment financing, handouts and subsidies to finance their dreams and make the world a better place? Wow. It's almost like nobody can get their pants on without the gubment in progressiveland.

Yes he did, actually it was more of a handout. Queeny was just betting on him coming back with some goodies.

Government financing is like when Obama pushed through the $535 million loan to Solyndra, you know the company that was “leading the way toward a brighter and more prosperous future.” and then a year or so later Solyndra shut down, leaving 1,100 people out of work and taxpayers obligated for $535 million in federal loans. Obama's buddies, the officers of the company skipped town with God knows how much of it.
That's usually how government financing works in progressiveland.

You forgot hair sniffing.

What we know about the Biden crime family is they don't much care whose taxpayers are financing their operation involuntarily. Now that's really progressive.

Did you have to make me watch that Biden video, I didn't know whether to cry or laugh out loud. It was so moving with the soothing music and all, I decided to laugh out loud and curse at the disingenuous creep.🤬

Yep, Columbus could have sunk. I don't know if Queeny got a insurance policy or not on the fleet, which would be typical for
commercial shipping anyway, probably not, when things go badly with a gubment program it's always the taxpayers that get stuck with the bill.

I only provided one example cause I don't have time to provide the many other rent-seeking, taxpayer subsidy mooching, bail-out seeking non-capitalists from the 19th Century to the present.

If incentives and ways to otherwise get others to help finance your endeavors, is it not a rational decision to take advantage of it? I argue you can fundamentally be a capitalist while also being an opportunist. There's no reason why you have to exclusively either be a stout hardcore right wing, no government type of individual... or a commie progressive. As much as many people like to think that's how the world works... it don't.

There's millions of rigid people out there thinking it's my way or the high way... not willing to budge on anything, no compromises... If you were to stick them in a room, it wouldn't just be the RayRay bucket and the commie progressive bucket, there's would be millions of buckets with an average capacity of about 1.2.

What I'm ultimately saying though, is huge ideas and huge advances in civilization don't happen without groups coming together, subsidization, or outside financing and backing of some sort... and the really big advancements don't come without government help.

I personally like our government... I think it's one of the best in the world. It allows different people with different agendas to voice their opinions and try to make a change for the better in some way. I'm sure many politicians get into it for that very purpose... but any time you put people into the mix, chaos happens. Every problem all of a sudden becomes more complex (mathematically and philosophically).

Our system, when it's working correctly, in my opinion should allow for very little change. Let's say someone comes in... causes too much ruckus... pisses the masses off, they elect donald trump. He comes in, wipes out the last guys changes... puts in a bunch of new stupid sh*t... he pisses the masses off... next guy comes in, wipes out trump's sh*t and nothing gets done.

Brilliant.

one could argue that Columbus was a progressive...he thought he could expand the knowledge of the world and used the best technology available in his day, while gathering financial support and human resources to push his efforts forward...

conservatives, monied businessmen at the time, considered him a fool and refused to help him...

he was a pioneer in the globalization of the world, the process where previously isolated communities intermixed and goods and ideas exchanged

Interesting event happened recently somewhat related to columbus. Apparently this chick in the neighborhood posted something about how she's ashamed to be an American because they changed it from columbus day to Indigenous Peoples Day...

My wife called her out on it, said it was a ignorant and racist statement.. I guess that chick got all butt hurt and told everyone my wife called her a racist...

anyway...

She's a trumper obviously... this new breed of "trumpublican" or what ever you want to call it. I was like... I thought Republicans were supposed to not support things FDR did? Head scratcher for me for sure... not to mention it's a totally f*ckin useless holiday unless you work for the post office or something.
