Wifi "cards" a have a general naming stricture, letter then number. N500, AC1000, or AX1600.

The letter refers to the general generation of wireless, Wifi 4, 5 or 6. Wifi 6 recently came out.
The number refer to the power the radio puts out.

Wifi 6 is the fastest wifi available. Keep in mind your router must correspond with your devices wifi. They are backwards compatible.

Agreed with Higher upload speeds, and it can be a factor. I have not had issues with that. I am using a 100/5 internet. "Down/up" And it works well enough.

Lenovo is currently releasing laptops with AX wireless cards.

I know too much information, and more than you really wanted.

So you're saying definitely get the wifi bearings calibrated, if not replaced altogether?

It's the bearing light indicator fluid that you really have to check on.

I'm not very mechanical, but I do know to change the air in the tires twice a year.

Don't forget to check the tie rod guards.

That works too Frankj.

Too small a screen, too slow a processor- W10pro would be better.

Agreed. You will get frustrated with that screen and processer quickly.

Or this one...

Also, all 3 of those are the same brand and price, so they might all be crap... I really have no idea about computer stuffs...

That one (the i5) has decent specs. If you are a power user, you may want to take Tony's advice and upgrade to W10Pro, but HOME is fine for most people.

It's also where the heart is... but you can't go there again...

I have no idea what the rest of what you said means...

Opel, the last one you tried to link to, the i7 for $649 is a pretty smoking deal for the specs. It's basically exactly like the i5 version but with a more powerful processor, all for the same money. I would say that if $649 is the target budget, that i7 will serve you well.

Strong processor, wicked fast 512GB hard drive (NvME), 12 GB RAM, better screen resolution than the i5.
