Gas lines formed in Pensacola (I'm sure the rest of the panhandle) and lower AL. Some stations are already out of gas.

I saw some where on the news this P.M. that gas supply/demand should be good for a week.

The Colonial pipeline runs from Texas to New Jersey. The shortage will be national.

I just found out that I have to go to a funeral in north AL, Thur.

Guess I need to find some fuel tomorrow to make the trip.

Parts of the pipeline are back online. Did they pay the ransom or work around them? If they paid them then they should fire each and every one of their IT staff. How their network isn't more secure blows my mind. We're not talking about earth changing money to an industry that rakes in BILLIONS every year.

Yet, here we are watching our infrastructure being noodled on by afar nefarious operators but our elections are totally safe?

Channel 3, out of Pensacola is reporting this A.M. that the run on gas yesterday in the local area was a three part problem.

Of course the pipe line hacking is getting some blame, lack of local truck drivers and an issue at a local gas terminal all played a part.

The hacking is the huge problem from my POV. Our infrastructure as a whole needs to be secured as well as possible, this is a huge national security issue. My larger concern is the electrical grid vulnerability.

Having stated that, when have the big players not used any blip to increase price?

I hesitate to allow the government to control security in this regard, but our infrastructure needs protected as if this is a war because it is.

I feel for you east coast boys.........but I live 75 miles north of a refinery that fulfills our daily fuel needs.Now that being said I agree that the security of our infrastructure should be our highest priority

gasoline prices have jumped...

they always do even tho there was nothing added to the cost of the fuel you're pumping into your car...this was predictable, and the oil company could've prevented it...

Supply and demand, my friend. If you don't need the 250 gallons you are hoarding for your gas powered fleshlight, sell it on offerup by the gallon and make a killing, buy again when prices drop.
