So now that Covid restrictions have been lifted my daughter is moving back out to a place just off campus. She just came home with a puppy... a Chihuahua, Australian Shepherd, Labrador mix. First, Labrador mixed with anything is blasphemy. Second, try imagining the gymnastics involved in mixing those breeds. Third, she already has an appointment to get the puppy classified as an emotional support pet so she can take the puppy to class. I asked her what reason she was going to give for needing an emotion support pet and she said "My Dad". She's funny. She named the puppy Janet after the character from Rocky Horror.

Apparently this is common on college campuses now. She said there are a lot of kids with dogs, rabbits, ferrets and other critters classified as emotional support animals.

Pretty sure emotional support animals fall under "beasts of the earth". We all know Chihuahuas are possessed. Evil little buggers.

I approve both her pet naming convention and what is likely perfectly sound reasoning for the cause of emotional support need.
