I had one, HUGE tree. I a was HUGE oak. It was out near the road/front yard with 2 major diversions from the main trunk. Since it was within 15 feet or whatever fro the read... the town officially owned it. It split halfway down from an ice storm. It took me few calls BS back and forth with the town and tree guys to learn that I'm not allowed to authorize for it to be removed and they were gonna send someone out to do it.

Half of the oak, a week later... it casts a looming shadow over the children's room The part of the house that, should it come down it's gonna crash into two kid's bedrooms... Talking with the town..."You won't let me take the tree down without some BS review and/or authorizations.. OK, you ready to deal with the repercussions (since it's technically your tree) if it comes down before you take it down?

You better figure out a way to clear it soon and... I mean this week.. if my kids are harmed from "your" tree falling on my house in the next few days, this is on you. I offered to take it out on my dime but and you denied.

Tree removal team showed up the following day. Question: Why do you need to be an **** to get anything done?

If they stick me with the bill for the removal of the rest of the tree, I'll smile and take it.

Then at the end of this year, I'll cancel the home, auto and umbrella policies I've had with them for 23 years.
It will be a good excuse. I don't care for their company values, and need just a smidge more motivation to put me over the edge- with that, and a person. Clock- ticking.

Happy Tuesday fellas.

Got the er bill for passing out. $3800. But they did give me an employee discount of $1k.

And the Dr visit after: $370.

Going in tomorrow for an echo, and Friday for a month long heart monitor. That's gonna be a few grand more too.

Guess I gotta keep working that overtime.

Good luck. Hope they keep the monitor on long enough. Recent experience was maddening.
Talked with a doc about a racing heart- tachacardia? Told him it happens about once every two weeks.

Put me on a heart monitor for 24 hours, didn't have an episode, said no arrhythmia, case closed.

$1,000 out of my pocket.

Thanks, jackasssss.

HHD to those who work. All this talk about trees reminds me I have one to take down but my chainsaw is up at the mountain house. Smallish tree bent way over in the last monsoon storm and I have been able to clear it just enough to use the walk it was blocking. It can wait a few days.

Lots of smaller damage within a 12 block radius. At least two houses had trees crashing to their homes. One had one large limb go into their house like a spear- piercing the roof, embedding itself into their bathroom. Someone would have been dead if they were on the chitter at the time.

I've been into just a dash of sweet cream too. Just a few drips. Seems to take the edge off.

This is the exact reason I had them bulldoze every single tree while clearing my lot for construction. I replanted ornamentals in their place. I never have "tree problems" and haven't spent a penny on tree trimming. My neighbor says his three backyard oaks has cost him like $10k over the last 20+ years.

Good morning.
Heading out to the pool in a bit. Nice weather so far.

Plans to go to a dispensary with my son today. Chiro tomorrow for my upper back. Can't wait.

Just going to lay about the rest of my day, watch my new TV and adjust the lip sync from the sound bar, which I am having a hard time with!

I hate to take down trees unless it's a safety hazard or if it's sick and dying or needed for wood to heat a house. This particular tree was an awesome oak tree that predated me by, likely, more than two generations. I tied to count the rings on the stump but it was too hacked up and split after the storm and the cleaning crew got done with it.

My grandfather on my Dad's side was a farmer and loved Mother nature. He'd take us grand kids on nature walks on his property in Park Falls, WI. He'd point out different trees and plants and try to educate us. As kids we were more interested throwing pine cones at each other. He was a botanist without formal education (although he taught elementary school math after selling the farm). Every time we where there we'd dig up saplings in the forest (mostly pine trees) and replant them where they would get more sun and more room to grow. He was relentless on replacing any tree that he took down with a sapling.

Kinda annoying as a kid, but fond memories as an adult.

Prolly not going to interfere with a nap later though. Called out from work and burning 9 hours of my banked 48 hrs of free time from Wally World today. Just don't feel like going to the circus tonight.
