Every day on TV I see government officials lamenting that so many Americans are not being vaccinated. Big Brother has stooped to shaming and virtue signaling, which I think is a crying shame. When the world has dealt you lemons, why not make lemonade. One USAF C-5 cargo plane can have all those unused vaccines on the southern border in a heartbeat. How does JOE justify berating Americans when he ignores one million unvaccinated people in government hands that he distributes around the nation. COME ON MAN, show us you are serious about this by taking care of that issue. Great white chief speak with forked tongue. We could not have had a worse administration for bringing about teamwork, cooperation and unity. Deep down in the heart of every politician there is probably a little spark that says having a lot of senior citizens bite the dust
would free up a lot of social security and Medicare money for other stuff. Now if they could only figure out a Covid variant that kills only old people and poor people, their jobs would be much easier.

And that's where the problem lies.
A vaccine shouldn't be political.

A big thanks goes out to Camilla Harris for starting this landslide.

I didn't know she turned people into antivaxers.

Did they not exist prior to Covid?

I find it odd that medical experts complain that vaccines and medical treatments shouldn't be a political issue yet they are in the constantly seeking out the media spotlight fostering their political stance on issues, agendas, and policies.

The same could be said with sports and entertainment celebrities.

I don't think the blanket term "anti vaxer" applies here. I think most who refuse the covid vaccine are probably vaccinated and/or have had their kids vaccinated with little resistance.

This is different. It's new, and many feel it's not even needed.
Get the virus? Big whoop. We now know how to treat those few who get truly sick, so unless you're in the high risk group you may feel the risk/reward isn't justified.

But now it's political.
It began when VP candidate Camilla Harris boldly proclaimed she wouldn't get a vaccine if issued under Trump. She was the first to state it so clearly.

And here we are. People trying to shame folks who are simply expressing their right to personal responsibility.

Governments issuing mandates on masks and even on vaccines for people employed by a federal government that is still largely "working" from home.

I'm vaccinated. I made my decision and feel good about it. If someone else isn't, so what? I'm protected.
As for the Delta Variant, my vaccine is good enough for that too, right? If not, why push to get everyone else vaccinated?

I think it only makes sense that the virus will continue to spread more quickly among those not vaccinated. But sick people become well again, and they build their antibodies so they're protected the way nature intended.

Protect you and your own. That's what a responsible person does.
Take your own precautions to feel safe.
Nobody is stopping people from wearing masks or socially distancing if they so choose. The hysteria is unfounded.

Think about the message: we all have to get vaccinated, but even vaccinated people aren't safe.
That's hogwash.

Makes perfect sense. When you're in the process of stuffing your face, there's no room for the virus to fit in around all the food. I'm officially burned out on Covid concern. Can we just go back to worry about the 1,000,001 products in the world that are going to give us cancer?
