Dude, Whites don’t experience racial shame. It’s a unicorn.

But a no step on snek T would be cool.
Of course it send the wrong message - but what the hell. I’m free, white and over 21.

I'm trying to read between the lines here. I'm guessing and you are referring to the "Don't Tread On Me" Gadsden flag but your wording of it sounds like it was written by a 2nd grader. The highlighted area at least corrects your spelling and grammar, but I'm not sure what point you are trying to make.

Sorry, but IMO we the citizens/voters have the right to determine for ourselves whether a candidate could have a conflict of interest, most particularly our presidential candidates.

Hell we have Pedo Joe now...and now you care about conflicts of interest?

I'm not alone here posting on the many flaws the DNC foisted on the American populace.

Ok Mr. Bucky. I will type a bit slower.

If you were to google “no-step-on-snek” you would find a host of merchandise with this slogan. Yes, it is a goof on the Gadsden flag. Misspelled intentionally.

Now, riddle me this: why is it funny?

I'll admit, I have no clue on what point you are trying to make.

Why is it funny? {shrug} Again, no clue on where you're going with it.

Ok, ok….

The caps, cups, and tee shirts with the childish graphic and misspelled words are popular with both conservatives and liberals. To conservative it could be a bold statement of pride. To liberals it is a mocking of those who would fly a “don’t tread on me” flag, suggesting that they are…..remedial.

Thank you for your honesty. I respect it.

That’s not exactly accurate. A conservative or even more likely a libertarian might fly a Gadsden flag as a statement. Liberals like the knock-off step on snek goodies that can be found on Amazon.com because anyone that does not agree with them is uneducated and beneath them. Hence the spelling errors.

Now back to the topic at hand: How have you taken advantage of your white privilege in your life that has led you to your guilt? How do you plan to atone for it?

It may interest you to know that I have seen pickup trucks that based on the other stickers they are sporting (“come and take it” and “Lock her up”) are painfully conservative and/or libertarian. Yet they also carry a no step on snek sticker. Presumably given to them by a friend that is sure they simply don’t get it.

And in fairness (if there is such a thing) do not all political groups think their opposition is uneducated and beneath them? I look to Cbid to weigh in on this….

I don’t feel guilt for what others have done. Slavery is wrong, but I do not support it and prolly would have been with the North in the “War of Northern Aggression”.

You need not look far to see how differently people are treated based on race/gender. But you do have to look.

I think many Whites simply live in denial of the situation because it feel better. Dg was just going on about “his US” having a foundation of God, not slavery. Bully for him.

Pointless.

You’re in metaphor land here, but I see your point.

Economic Slavery is the price of a monetary system that allows unbridled capitalism. Extreme concentration of wealth and wide spread poverty is the natural course. And as the system progresses, those in power are progressively less likely to be concerned about anyone other than themselves. Even though we all played Monopoly as children we often to not see these simple dynamics.

Oddly, those born into economic slavery are often the greatest protectors of those that are born into wealth.

A key difference between slavery proper and economic slavery is the illusion of choice - it makes the world go round….
