Doesn't change the fact that it's a socialist program. Recognizing that FACT is only in poor taste if your politics dictates that it is in poor taste.

I guess telling someone that hates socialism that a program they support is socialistic in nature can be painful on less functional minds.

Personally, I think honesty is best... I like people who tell the truth.

Disability compensation is a monetary benefit paid to Veterans who are determined by VA to be disabled by an injury or illness that was incurred or aggravated during active military service. These disabilities are considered to be service connected.

I got this from the internet also. They earned their compensation and then some. I know you were joking, but it was in poor taste.

Just a bit. My dad was 21 years US Army, received a Purple Heart in Vietnam, and died at 59 from cancer prolly from handling Agent Orange. Vets pay quite a price for their benefits.
