Guns are a symptom, not the problem. Figure out the problem first, then fix it.

Armed 22 year old stops a mass shooting in its friggin' tracks. Hit the bad guy 8/10 times from what was reportedly 40 yards. With a handgun. Carried legally. Didn't hit anyone else. Many lives were very likely saved as the dbag had 100 rounds.

And responded to the threat in about 15secs after the psychopath started shooting

And there we have it. Guns are not the problem.

It takes people to use a gun so people must be the problem.

Or maybe bullets are the problem, I mean guns themselves don't actually kill people - it's the bullets, and the people who fire them.

And laws don't work on bad people, so no need to have laws about people being bad.

So in the end, 450+ shootings is all because of bad people. And there is really nothing you can do about that.

And you really can't tell if someone is bad - till they shoot someone - so no way to stop bad people from - uh, being bad. With a gun.

OK, brew. Take the guns. Then what's the answer when bad people still inflict violence and death? How about we restrict arms for real? Seriously SOB, "The Problem" is not recognizing the danger of freely distributing guns to anyone who wants one.

Add to the fear that any regulation will end in no citizen being able to own a gun or a ginsu.

Hell people here actually question the value of, and need for, laws.

Let's forego the "guns are freely distributed to anyone" portion of your statement, because it's been covered repeatedly in recent threads and it's still bullchit.

Your view amounts to all the guns should be taken away. I know, I know, AR15s and high capacity mags. But AR15s are a tiny sliver of the deaths you're concerned about. So once they're banned, and the rate of firearm deaths remains largely unchanged, will people decide they need a different strategy, or double down and hit up handguns next?

It's not fear. It's recognition of logical progression in those who have misplaced their fear

Maybe they should just issue guns - you know, like Obama phones?
