You order a box of cigars and it arrives with the seals broken. All the cigars look fine, but the box was clearly opened as all the seals are cut.

Big deal or no?

To me I guess would be what site it came from and if they are reputable. Maybe send them an email asking what happened?

years ago Ravi from an overseas site would open the Cubans to check for mold prior to shipping...upon request.

Other than boxes from overseas, I've had a couple, mebbe three, boxes with broken seals. A little "WTF?!?!" the first time I got one but after the 2nd one, decided it was no big deal. I figured whether the merchant had to piece together a full box or they inspected it prior to packing, doesn't matter to me. As long as I received a full box and there are no damaged cigars, I'mma fine with it.

JGRAZ might be able to shed some light on this. My recent experience is that I’ve seen the seals cut and an inspection notice with the inspectors initials penned in on the seal.

Thanks guys. It's a vendor I buy a lot from but it's never happened to me before.

I think I will let it slide and only say something if it becomes the norm...

If I remember correctly they also put a note in the box letting you know that the seal was broken for QC inspection prior to shipping and the boxes were resealed in cello.

It’s your delivery person.
Carefully removing cello and labels, and replacing your nice cigars, with similar looking dog rockets.
He only does it to three cigars, on the bottom row. You will know when you smoke one…
