First- Let Me say that I think Our current role in Iraq is absolutley right. The threat posed to international security needs to be eliminated regardless of oil or the "freedom of the Iraqi people". The danger posed by Iraqs potential use of Anthrax, Smallpox, and other WMDs as well as support of anti-US terrorists cannot be tolerated. I am proud to be an American in this effort and hugely grateful to the Men and Women in The Armed Forces that are risking their lives to protect Us today.

Second-I also believe deeply in Our RIGHT as Americans to Freedom of Speach and Freedom of Assembly. The RIGHT to hold and express opinions that may be contrary to the popular view. Be very concerned if popular opinion or "Homeland Security" EVER denies ANY American these RIGHTS guaranteed Us by The Covenants of Our Founding Fathers and The Lives of Americans given to secure these Rights.

Oh blah blah blah, EVERYONE believes in "free speach" that's not the question, the qstn is "How do you justify protesting when it causes traffic jams and ties up the police?"

If people want to speak their mind, nuthin wrong with that. I was referring to the jacka$$e$ who "lay down in traffic". Do you call that free speach?

But, yesterday in Oakland, CA. A Longshorman was injured due to these stupid M_F'rs protesting.

Police had to shoot wooden bullets to disperse a croud that wouldnt leave a marine dock. Which was also private property.

One shot was deflected toward a longshorman employee nearby, and injured him.

How will these protesters justify innocents being injured due to their actions.

The cargo was military supplies, which were delayed in getting to thier destination, because of these LOSERS!

I lived in the Bay Area all my life. Worked on the cop side of the protest line there for 13 years. Been to SF/Oakland/Lawrence Lab/Treasure Island. Funny thing the same 100 or so people show up to protest whatever it is they are protesting. They are hired guns. Most aren't even from the areas they are protesting. Many didn't even know what they are there except that someone gave them gas and food money, a bag full of pot and handed them a sign.

The way to incite change in not to piss of the same people you are trying to sway. You have to work within the system not outside the system. Most of the best protesters managed to learn this between acid trips and became judges, congress persons, lawyers, mayors and governors(IE Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown). That is the best way to get to the system. You become part of it and try to enact your change from within. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. If you lose, accept the fact that it is not the will of the people as a whole and move on to the next issue.

I have a feeling that if the protests drag on, people who are for what we are doing in Iraq will show up in force and things will really start getting ugly. This has happened before and it makes it tough to be in the middle.

BOMB THE PROTESTERS!
