As much as it may seem to the contrary, I really enjoy the banter with my brothers of the leaf who are opposed to my conservative views. I find it oddly stimulating... HONEY! COME HERE QUICK! I just had a long hard exchange with whelmie, dbrainsky, amaven, heheh "long", "hahahard".

You berate me about what right I have asking him the question and then you ask me if I'm a "Marxist stooge". And now you make an incorrect assumption that I'm an imbecile and at the same time you falsely imply that you are vastly superior. I say falsely because youâ??ve based this on what youâ??ve gleaned from a post or two, along with your preconceptions of what a liberal is or is not, and your assumption that Iâ??m a liberal.

And you have the gall to claim that you were simply debating the logic of my statements while actually attacking and belittling me, interesting to say the least.

In this forum tailgater is a regular poster and I respect him even though we regularly disagree on many topics. I asked the question due to the aforementioned reasons, and then replied when I had not heard back. My statement read, â??I guess silence speaks louder than wordsâ? and you assumed illogically that this meant I thought silence equaled assent, when in fact this statement says nothing about what silence equals, only that it speaks louder than words. It does not state which side of assent or dissent that silence equates too in way.

Now the implication may have been there but this statement is easily argued either way, which youâ??ve already proven for me.

â??On the other hand, Tailgater may have thought your question so rude and hateful that he refused to dignify it with a response.â?

I will now readily admit that I intended to implicate that silence equaled assent, and for that I apologize to tailgater, and I await his answer.

On April 15th at about 5 pm I posted my opinion regarding POS King.
On April 16th around 11 a.m., I am accused of being a White Supremacist by the mere fact that I have not checked and re-checked this particular post within an 18 hour timeframe.

Liberal Logic.

At the time I thought it was a joke, but when I saw this thread title I began to wonder.

If you are not then I'm beyond glad, and I apologize profusely. But this post title is disgusting, and not what I would associate with most people on this board.

Chris,
To answer your insulting question, "No, I am not a white supremacist".

My comment on an earlier thread was simply an ironic way to claim my Patriotism.
If you recall, the thread made reference to a claim that "Patriotic Americans" are by definition "white supremacists".
Therefore, my statement regarding the unfathomable claim in favor of white supremacy was a "tongue in cheek" reference to my obvious Patriotic feelings towards this great country.

But even without the irony, it was clearly a joke.

When I reviewed this thread today, I read your first inquiry and assumed you were actually joking. Then I read further and I must say and ask something:
1. I am truly, deeply offended.
2. Why would you gather that my disdain for POS King has ANYTHING to do with the color of his skin? I made no reference to his color, nor did I mention any stereotypes of any sort.
You claim to be "independent", but your thought process embodies all that is wrong with todays Liberals.

Unless, of course, you are an African American. In which case I would have to say you are right to do whatever you'd like, even to the detriment of others, lest I be labeled a white supremacist...

I thought the supremes were all black? Now if you were talking Michael Jackson, we could debate.

I apologize profusely for my incorrect assertion, and even though the intent to offend was not there I am sorry for doing so.

The statement that they "didn't hit him hard enough the first time" is disgusting to me, especially since my brother is a policeman and has to wear the shame and take the insult from people who assume all policemen are racist because of the disgraceful act that the LA police committed. Regardless of what King did, no one deserves to be beaten like that, much less beaten worse as you asserted.

Once again, I apologize for the incorrect and offensive question.

If you've got family in law enforcement, then you know that the King beating was not necessarily racially motivated.
That POS endangered many lives prior to that infamous beating. When I first saw the video I was horrified. Then, as details come out and you see analysis of the tape, you realize that those cops are hyped up on adrenaline from the 100+ mph chase and also that King never stops getting back up and moving towards the police officers. Hence, the CONTINUED beating.

The title to this thread is not based on what he did that evening, however. It is based on the fact that the now-wealthy POS continues to drink and drive.
This is not the first time since the beating that he has parked his vehicle into a wall.
So I ask again: Are we waiting for him to KILL somebody before he gets what he deserves?

Come to LA and be treated like a King!

Based on your clarification, I agree that he should get what he deserves. Prison time for habitual DUI, if a court can make it happen.

See, Gator's not a bad guy. Neither is Wilhelmi. Just different points of view. We all agree that Rotney King is a POS. We just differ on how hard he should be beaten. No big differences here, just shades of gray...

Heck, I posted it on the bulletin board at our local KKK meeting!

For the record (for Chris' record), that was a JOKE.

I don't use those little smiley face punctuations to indicate the humor because:
1. It isn't necessary.
2. I feel queer making font-faces.

Oh, and before I'm accused of it: I am not homophobic either.
