I'm A Bad American an proud of it

I'm Your Worst Nightmare. I am a BAD American.
I like big cars, big
breasts, and big cigars.

I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some
mid-level governmental functionary with a bad comb-over who wants to
give it away to crack addicts squirting out babies.

I'm not in touch with my feelings and I like it that way.

I believe no one ever died because of something Ozzy Osbourne, Ice-T or
Marilyn Manson sang.

I think owning a gun doesn't make you a killer.

I believe it's called the Boy Scouts for a reason.

I don't think being a minority makes you noble or victimized.

I believe that if you are selling me a Big Mac, you'd better do it in
English.

I don't use the excuse "it's for the children" as a shield for
unpopular opinions or actions.

I think fireworks should be legal on the 4th of July.

I don't want to eat or drink anything with the words light, lite or fat-free on the package.

My heroes are John Wayne, and whoever canceled Full House
and Bob Saget.

I don't hate the rich. I don't pity the poor.

I know wrestling is fake and I don't waste my time arguing about it.

I think global warming is a big lie.

I've never owned a slave, or was a slave, I didn't wander forty years in the desert after leaving Egypt, I haven't burned any witches or been persecuted by the Turks and neither have you, so shut up already.

I want to know which church is it exactly where the Rev. Jesse Jackson preaches. And where does he get his money. And why is he always part of the problem and not the solution.

I think the cops have every right to shoot your sorry hind-end if you're running from them.

I worry about dying before I get even.

I hate those idiots standing in the intersections trying to sell me crap
or trying to guilt me into making 'donations' to their cause. These
people should be targets.

I think beef jerky could quite possibly be the perfect food.

I enjoy watching high speed pursuits, the more damage the better.

I believe that it doesn't take a village to raise a child, it takes a parent.

I think tattoos and piercings are fine if you want them, but please don't pretend they are a political statement.

I think Dr. Seuss was a genius.

If that makes me a bad American, then yes, I'm a bad American. If you too are a bad American please forward this to everyone you know. We need to start a revolution.

Not sure about Revolutions and such as that, but I do know one thing for sure---I think that Jesse "The Revered" Jackson is a crook and a major part of the problems when it comes to race relations! Of the seven students he defended in Illinois that beat hell out of those high school students are all in jail or trouble except for one who is in college on Jesse's scholarship program. Yes he does offer scholarships along with supporting his mistresses and illegitimate children out of funds he "raises" for Rainbow. Some of my heroes are John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Arnold S., Old Blue Eyes(Frank Sinatra), Ronald Reagan, Colin Powell, Joe Montana and Jimmy Stewart to name a few! I think that if you smoke cigars, drink Jack Daniels and love America then you are ok. If you play golf and ride Harleys that is ok by me also! I have a problem with "civil rights" when some rap artist can get on TV and curse the flag, country and damn policemen and hard working people and then get a damned award for that type of rude behavior. In Bill and Hill's case maybe it does take a village to raise a child(the money they can steal comes from the village)! I am a Navy Veteran and damn proud of the fact!

JJ, did you write that yourself? Sniff, I'm wiping the tears from my eyes now as try to type this. You are my new hero. I now have a new Anthem, and you wrote it. God Bless America! (is it ok to mention God without paying tribute to Buddha and Muhamed?)

JJ, I think you have expressed the feelings of many of us that fall into the silent majority. Perhaps that is the problem, being too silent for too long. But unlike Jesse and others that fit his type, most of us have full time jobs that don't allow us to spend time at protests during the work week. Thanks for speaking up!

Damm. someone get me a tissue! I too am a Bad American. I love my wife and my kids. I dont' give a damm how much money I have or how much I give away. I care about TODAY, not yesterday. I don't give a rat's ass about Who's Who in America and my idol is Jimmy Stewart and Roy Rogers. I dont' sit around waiting for things to happen. I go out and make it happen. And if I do it first, all the better. I'm a American flag lover and if you burn or piss on it you aren't invited to my house. I believe in standing when the flag is paraded down the street and I'll slap anyone who doesn't. I'm grateful to all of you who served in the military to protect MY freedom and my childrens' freedom and I'll owe you till the day I die. I smoke only the best cigars and NEVER believe that a good bundle of $39.00 cigars must be a good buy. I'll work on you in my hospital and care for your wounds but I won't shed a tear or give you that morphine if you've been driving drunk and taken out one of my friends. I believe spousal abuse is a crime and it should be treated as such. I live the motto "tis better to be silent and thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt". Does that make me a baaaddd american?.....Brent

jjohnson28: while i don't agree with some of what you say, i do understand why you arrive at your conclusions. 2 things to point out if you don't mind:
1. "I didn't wander forty years in the desert after leaving Egypt" you might go to the library and get a book called "moses and monotheism". it will explain the 40 years in the desert.
2. i could understand patton, ike, mccarthur, and others, but why is john wayne considered a hero?

I would like to hear this??? because personally Mac, was a Frickin Pansy who caused many Deaths "Escaping" and Leaving his Troops behind... Bridge on the River Quie?? Patton and Ike would have been to there deaths defending there men!!! and Patton Did just that...2 why is there allot of pesimisim in your posts??? always seem to ride on the negativeity... a few posts back you bring up good issues but still lean to pesimistic side of issues Why is that??? i didn't know i was pessimistic i'll have to reread for clues. you are on the nose about macarthur. he was not in the same league or maybe army with patton and ike. the picture of him getting off the boat ("i have returned") and wadding in the water was taken over and over again until they got the photo he wanted. i still have no clue about why john wayne is considered a hero and since this board venerates him when his name comes up, i thought one of you would be able to explain it to me. i think of him as a mediocre actor, who never served in the military and like reagan, was a patriot and a hero in his own mind. like bush, the awoler, on tv today wearing a flight jacket. i do believe his wings were upside down. one man's reality is another man's "pestimisim"
so what about big in the saddle john, the racist who taught america to hate the "dirty redskins" and the "yellow japs." a man who said "i don't raise angus cattle, because they would probably want to be bussed to market".

Great post, JJ. John Wayne was a hero because he personified the tough American spirit. Do or die! Don't screw with us. America is the best country in the world. Unfortunately, we've lost alot of our patriotism over the years. I think Bush will help bring back some American pride. I also think flag burning should be a class A felony.

Right on J. Burning the Flag should be a capital offense and the person or persons who commit such a crime should be burned themselves and another crime by death should be dished out to any coward who shoots a Bald Eagle! The Duke stood for what is great in this country and he stood up for this country. As for GWB wearing a Naval Flight Jacket, as CIC of this country he should be allowed to wear the jacket, and I was proud to see him on TV wearing the jacket. I believe Bill C even wore one (what a joke!).

On flag burning: This is an issue that I've bumped into before. I just don't understand the people who support flag burning as an expression of dissent. If you choose to burn the very symbol of freedom for this great nation, then you eliminate your freedom to do so. It's actually a paradox, yet they continue to do it. It's like they are saying "America is a free country, so I'm free to destroy the symbol of this freedom" ???? I don't get it....?

Hindsight is indeed 20/20. John Wayne did glorify the American cowboy and the constant fighting with the "Indians". But it was Hollywood and the almighty dollar that drove this image. They knew that every kid grew up playing cowboys and indians, and that it would draw bucks into the box office. Why do we even question this? As for regarding him as a "hero", he did display the Pride for which our country should be known for. One last thing regarding the "yellow japs". Although it is not politically correct to mention this, the Japanese did officially bring us into the war. To use racial slurs should not be viewed as the worst injustice to befall mankind. Yes, today it is quite different and we rightfully recognize all Asian cultures, but when John Wayne and others are making a WAR movie it is OK to speak the language. Or at least I think so.

I knew I liked you, Jim, after I realized every cigar you've sent me is now one of my favorites. But this? You're a true patriot. As I'm sure Rush would also say to you, "mega-dittos!"
