I'm curious to see how many of you guys and gals hunt or fish or both; I'm just curious.

Both, bass tournaments and lots of pleasure fishing, crappie, catfish, walleye - loved to fish the Bay when I was in MD and the crabbing was fantastic off the Navy Reserve pier. My kids all love to fish.

Love to hunt deer and small game. Introducing this to my 8 year old this year.

I enjoy fishing when I can. I don't hunt. Not against it, just not into it.

I love it, every once and a while a bleeding heart 'hippie' tries to trap me with something like: "Oh, so you like guns and go shooting, I guess you LOVE shooting animals too, right?" If I'm in a grumpy mood I give them "I'm not into hunting ANIMALS, why do you think all of my shooting targets are silouettes of people?! Any further questions regarding my shooting??" Haha. That tends to shut them up. I do remind them I AM in law enforcement, so they're not too terrified at that point.
It's a wonderful thing scaring hippies (sounds a bit like Eric Cartman)...



Hey fritz, have you been to the NRA firearms museum in VA? I finally made it there last summer (it's only about 10 miles from me too, doh) and it's spectacular. I'd highly recommend it, well worth the time.

I am headed to New Zealand on Thursday and have a charter to go big grouper fishing. on Sunday. Only $150.00NZ that's like $100 dollars. YEA!

Walleye fish in Ohio, bluegill fish in Canada and Western Michigan, deer hunt in Michigan and Ohio.

Yep, hunter here. Getting ready to go Turkey hunting on Saturday. There is an old pic post somewhere of the Turkey I got last year.

I don't fish as much as I used to, but I still love to get out when I can.

And I have respect for the Outdoors which is waining
with every generation.. No greater feeling IMHO than
hiking 2 miles into the woods and catching your dinner
and cooking it over an open fire..

Bass fishing, trout, crappie. I used to compete in bass tourneys in California.... Clear Lake, Berryessa, New Melones, Millerton, Almanor, Castaic. Mostly on the mid 80's.

Ever read "Never Sniff and Gift Fish" ? I think he wrote the book about me. The second my boat touched the water, all the fish would high tail it to the other side of the lake.

I'm both a hunter and fisherman at heart but I seldom get to do either. I grew up fishing in the susquehanna river and some of the smaller streams in pennsylvania. I was stationed in a lot of good locations and got to fish in the atlantic and the pacific, and the gulf of mexico. If I had my choice, I prefer bass and trout fishing in small stream where I can walk along the bank or wade.

I've only hunted a few times in the past 25 years. Only on my brothers farm in PA. He sold it in 97 and I haven't been shooting since.

bassdude, about 23 inches and 10lbs. Used to be pretty easy to do on that lake a few years ago. The schoolies were 6 pounders. Like everywhere else these days a lot of pressure has made it tough.

I also do both. I fish for pike mostly, but I will gladly catch whatever is in the water.

Hunting is my biggest passion. Birds of all varieties and occasionally rabbits. Just got through the spring snow goose migration and got my turkey last Saturday. Now I have five months to wait until I can hunt again. It will be a long five months. Sigh. Well, that is why I fish.

I love both. I hunted small game (rabbit and squirrel) since high school and picked up deer hunting a good 8 years ago. Deer hunting is now a passion of mine, I just love being out in the woods.

I used to fish quite a lot each year, but ever since my Dad died three years ago I haven't been but once. I'm starting to get the fishing bug again and will probably go this week.
