see how silly it is to mispell someone's name to make a point. i think i understand. clinton screwed up everything except the parts that work. right now you are being governed by a corporate flunky, in lieu of a man who had a sex scandel, with media coverage that lasted more years than it was worth and cost more money than it warrented, who has taken your surplus money and given it to his buddys and has an attorney general who thinks that orange cats are a sign of the devil and god love him, he wants to make sure we are all good christians, not that there is anything wrong with being christian, but some of us are not. doesn't anyone realize we are losing rights, not privileges, in our defense of terrorism?, or a pipeline through afganistan. we have been snookered and not by some slick willie, but a good old boy from a "ranch". everyone else in that area calls it a farm, but "ranch" sounds so reagan and wayne macho. fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, shame on me. sr=1 jr=2. shame on us. i understand that carter will be in florida as he has been in other third world countries, to make sure the election for governer is honest. shame he wasn't there for the last coup.

Oh my, now Rick actually has a Military man to side with him on his leftist viewpoints! Being and ex Navy flier myself, I can only respect his views, but I do not have to agree with them! It is great to have a President that we know means to put an end to Terrorism and not to "look the other way or unzip his pants and maybe it will go away"! Rick, you will never give GWB credit for anything! This is a given! Now we know, according to you, that the retaliation for WTC was oil driven!?!?!?! Give me a break. Tell the 3,000 plus families that and see what reaction you get! Charlie

Next thing Rick is going to tell us is that GWB arranged the whole WTC disaster and blamed it on Osama just as an excuse to go in and get control of the oil pipeline!

char: i spent 4 yrs in the air force. will you respect my views in the morning. i never said the retaliation for wtc was oil driven. AND i do give bush credit for following in his daddy's footsteps. daddy got a super high rating when he took us to war, before he was thrown out of office, by the upstart slick willie, and the yong'un has big numbers. no one is focusing on the fact that the USA is in the dumper as far as the economy is concerned. amazing how the big guys at enron got out with $ and the ordinary people got screwed. take the headlines about the war away and what have you got? a sorry state. like a magician, misdirection is the game. of course the dimwit could not have thought of any of this himself, so the credit must go to his handlers, and like quail, he is sounding presidential, unless you interrupt him and he has to find his place in the script again

Last I saw GWB was pushing the economic package as Sen Tom Daschel was opposing! Whoops, sounds like a liberal leftist plot to garner votes in upcoming elections! Now blame GWB for Daschel and his sidekicks! Charlie

Charlie, regarding the economic stimulus package - both sides are playing political football with this (pushing their own political agenda and calling it stimulus). The Demos want this to be primarily help for unemployed, etc. May be needed but is not really a stimulus and only gets a dollar of benefit for each $ spent by the government. The Repubs want to cut Corporate Taxes such as the alternative minimum tax (retroactivily) stating that any type of tax cut will create jobs (most likely not, the corporations will not create jobs unless there is increased demand). What is needed is incnetives to spend - increase the investment tax credit for business to invest in plant and equipment (create demand and jobs) - provide partial individual tax credits for spending on high ticket items like cars and appliances (create demand and jobs). This way the government leverages its cash outlay and if credits are in the neigborhood of 10% that leverages government spending to a 10:1 ration. Just my .02. Barry

Rick, you're calling Dubya a "corporate flunkie". Based on what? Buying a professional baseball team and reselling it for many millions more? Although little George certainly had his parents money to do whatever he liked, at least he DID SOMETHING. What job did Clinton EVER hold other than surping off the public? Do you not think it better to try and "fail" than to never try?

Rick, please educate me. I don't remember being corralled into a Christian Faith Network by Ashcrofts cronies.

Hey Newbie Navy Chief: Just because you don't like the election results doesn't mean they aren't real. Check your lawbooks regarding elections. Check the history books that explain the process. The re-re-re-recounts are finished and the tally is unanimous: Gore lost. Now, unless you are of the ilk that believe a right wing conspiracy created a confusing ballot so the Profession Bingo Guild would punch the wrong hole, please deal with it and answer one question: As part of the Worlds Finest Navy, were you proud of your Commander in Chief when he ignored the USS Cole disaster?

Say Chief, I would say giving medals to the flight crew of the P3 was not nearly as bad as letting the Terrorist get away with blowing a hole in the Cole and killing our sailors! Yes, I think they should have ditched the P3 also, but they didn't and I am glad we got the crew back safely! Face it, you finally have a President and Administration who is going to stand behind you after 8 years of looking the other way and turning another cheek, you should be proud of this President! tailgator: part 1. i was real proud of reagan when he ignored the 200 + soldiers blown up in their barracks by terorists in some god forsaken country, the name of which i do not remember.
part 2. "Buying a professional baseball team and reselling it for many millions more?"
"From there it was off to Harvard Business School for an MBA, after his modest grades (c) denied him entry to the University of Texas Law School. After graduation, while his classmates went off to Wall Street, George W hankered after Texas and returned there to seek a job in the oil industry, where he stayed until 1986. After working on his father’s 1988 presidential campaign, George W indulged his soft spot for baseball by buying the Texas Rangers team".
the real story of the texas rangers:

i have printed and will read tomorrow, the robbins comment.
