X ... for me, it's an easy guess, because I got out of HS in 1960 ... I remember Inner Sanctum well and you're right, it was frightening. I remember the Lone Ranger, Burns and Allen, Saturday morning kid shows on the radio and listening to ballgames and championship fights with my dad ... nothing on TV looks quite the same as all of that did in my imagination ...

xibbumbero----the good old days. the green hornet ring that glowed in the dark for about 60 seconds after you kept it under the light for two hours, 10 cents and i believe the peel off lid from a can of ovaltine. a decoder ring, a whistle ring, the lone ranger glow in the dark belt, and the cardboard walkie talkies with the string betweew the two. hi school class of 1950.

frogmen in cereal boxes...green, blue and gray...at the end of one flipper they had a hollow disk that was covered with a metal cap...you could pop off the cap, fill the disk with baking soda and drop the frogman in water...he would go up and down until the baking soda was gone.

What was the name of the cereal that had a coupon in the box and you could send away for a life size Jane Fonda blow-up doll that you could actually use for... er wait a second that might have been in my Penthouse magazine... never mind. LOL JonR

I have some more. How about Captain Midnight Ovaltine cup and the decoder ring. How about Captain Video? Along with the Frogmen was a PT boat that operated the same way(with baking soda). X

I had a little plastic submarine that worked with baking soda ... in fact, I had several of them ...

Me too, only there was a tablet of it included in the package with the sub. Once, when I was about 5 and a cousin of mine was about 3, we were bathing in the tub together and playing with the submarine. Well after awhile, I couldn't find the submarine. Then, I spotted it under some bubbles. I grabbed for it and let me tell you what! It wasn't the sub, it was a turd! My little cousin took a dump in the tub! EEWWW!!!! I will never forget how gross that was. That was the last time I ever shared a tub with my little cousins!!! Come to think of it, I think I gave up the submarines too! Just had to share that...

well, I now prefer sitting in a HOT tub with a plastic glass of adult beverage and a good cigar ... after reading your note, if I drop the cigar in the water, you may rest assured that I will NOT be attempting to retrieve it ... although, if the right company were to reconsider her sharing of tubs, I could be persuaded to put both the beverage and the cigar aside for a later time ... hmmmmmmmmm
