I made some metallic rests to overlay the wood slots for possible burn issues. Made them from solid copper but then primed and painted a satin black, just not sure I like it with or without better................

Really nice Paul, looks like you been busy. Is this a hobbie of yours, I mean the woodworking. I used to play around a bit a long time ago, it was therapeutic in a way. unfortunately never have the time anymore.

You always do top notch work. This is beautiful. How are you going to empty it? I'm not trying to tell you what to do but I'd think about making some kind of removable insert/tray to make it easier to clean up. Just a thought. Beautiful work. 🇨🇮
