Is that a fraction?
A middle finger insult?

The government is a middleman Fuzzy. And the worst one. I deal with medicare and medicaid. I can tell you medicare has alot of issues, and mediaid is a gigantic cluster ****.

Seriously we have medicaid prior-auth in writing then refuse reimbursement. And medicaid people ant be held liable for ANY $. Lots of medical businesses are refusing assignment from both for a reason.

With all due respect Fuzz, that is the dumbest thing I gave ever heard!!!!

So, you want to unionize the citizens to bargain for health care???

You know what you get when you take the profit out of an industry? People that don't care because they are getting payed anyhow, so why strive to do better?

Do you want that in a health care provider?

Medicare which covers 1/3 of American citizens has totally destroyed the health care industry. It's such a tragedy. Did you know that if you live in a country like Sweden or Switzerland or hell any other country in Europe you life expectancy is like 43? NO? It's actually higher that here in the US? And they have universal healthcare? That just does not compute! Infant mortality? We must have the highest and best rate on that! Well sh$t. We suck.

Seriously people. Numbers don't lie.

If you don't know why we have re highest infant mortality rate all is lost. You DO have a brain and you are a SMART guy.

Why do so many from those bastions of healthcare come here?

Why would you think your beliefs are beyond being ridiculed or insult but mine are fair game and because I have those beliefs my personal life is fair game? I haven't seen you post once about how offended you were about someone insulting a liberal's belief system or someone calling it foolish or hell even calling the person who held those beliefs all sorts of other insulting names.

You wouldn't be a hypocrite now would you?

Naw, couldn't be! Couldn't be at all.

Paying more isn't the issue (though all non-exclusive private insurance do) its the nightmare of billing and the cost of doing so.

Catastrophic insurance and direct payment to physicians would be great.

Or at least have the patient pay then submit claim to insurance the way it was meant to be.

ZRX1200 wrote:

you nailed is ZRX, think of the last time you even heard of anyone asking how much something costs at the Drs office? I asked about the cost of a sinus shot and the nurse gave me a crazy look and said "what does it matter, you arent paying for it!?!?!"

We dont pay the cost direct so we let them bill whatever. Think of how many people get the $5k for the car repair after a wreck then shop around to find the cheapest repair price or a shop that will waive their deductible. We do that so we can save money/make some money. We should care about the cost of healthcare in the same way.

But statistics do.

http://www.nationalcenter.org/NPA547ComparativeHealth.html

In brief: infant mortality and life expectancy are terrible measures of how effective health care (private or publically funded) is.

One example (the link provides more):
Japanese Americans have a similar life expectancy as native Japanese.

Please don't use false logic to make your point, and then contend that numbers don't lie. You either fell for the liberal blather regarding life expectancy and infant mortality, or you outright lied.
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and believe the former.

Once again, Fuzz uses phony stats to try and make a "point."

Ever been to Sweden, Fuzz? The first thing you might notice is that their ethnic makeup is - ahem - homogenous. They don't have a lot of black people (whose life expectencies are lower than that of the blonde, nordic types). They don't have a lot of illegal aliens coming up from Central America with incurable cases of TB. In fact, compared to the US, they don't get even a fraction of the stuff that drops life expectency stats here in the US.

In Sweden, if they have one or two black people living within a one mile radius, that's the "ethnic" part of town.

But try and get cancer treatment in Sweden. Then we'll talk about what a wonderful healthcare system they have.

As for infant mortality: we're one of the few nations that count pre-term (premie) births into their infant mortality rates.

Oh yeah, and unlike Cuba, if there's a chance that the birth may be risky, we don't pressure the mother into getting an abortion...like they do in other countries.

Personally Fuzz, I think the best form of divine retribution is for you to get exactly what you want as far as what you claim to believe. I'd love to see you whine and cry like a little girl because some government buraucrat denied your cancer treatments.

I'd also take a certain amount of satisfaction knowing that some bureaucrat delayed your cancer surgeries and treatments. And you'd have to put up with knowing that you've got a killer growing in your body, and there it NOTHING you can do about it except cry and whine (which you seem to be very good at, I might add).

Then we'll see just how bad our current system of health care "sucks" when you get what they have in Sweden.

Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? That's all? And define happiness.

According to the Consitution, we also have the right of Habeas Corpus, the right to elect representatives, the Bill of Rights gave us the first 10 amendments and influenced most of the rest. All of these are given by the government, and can be taken away, and in the case of Habeas Corpus have been.

I know it's kinda neat to say the 'creator' gave those rights to us, but if he's 'forever' it sure took a long time to get those damn 'rights' now didn't it?

FuzzNJ wrote:

First, you idiotic doorknob, YOU STILL HAVE THE RIGHT TO HABEAS CORPUS. You are an outright LIAR to say we don't have that right.

That's right: a liar.

Right now, across the country, many Habeas Corpus petitions are being filed within the borders of the United States.

So again: you are a liar. You knowingly repeat something that is an outright lie.

Second, all of your rights are inalienable, meaning that you have them by virtue of your existence. They are given to you by a Creator. The wording in the Declaration of Independance is pretty frickin' clear on this subject. Maybe you should read it sometime?

You don't need anyone else to express your opinion, pursue happiness, or live your life. Period. That's what basically defines a right: something you have by virtue of your existence on this planet.

Health care, on the other hand, has to be provided to you by someone else. To claim that service is a right means that someone MUST provide that service whether they want to or not. That is, in essence, forced servitude.

No one is stopping you from stitching up your own arm, setting your own bones, or even cutting out tumors from your body. If someone else has to do it, however, they have the right to be compensated for their time and labors. Because they have a right to be compensated for their work (I know, that whole "work" thing is alien to you).

Then again, it is no surprise that you believe this nonsense, seeing that you're a lazy, two-bit loser who thinks that life should be handed to him on a silver platter. For the sake of everyone here, Fuzz, please grow up and become an adult. Your childish thinking and manner is a danger to everyone who holds their freedom sacred.

Re: 30 and 31

potts,
It's difficult to take your points seriously when the bulk of your efforts go towards insulting your target.

Don't get me wrong. I am not innocent of tossing out a barb or two.
And I agree with the overall sentiment of your viewpoints.

But tone down the hostility.
