The new Cowboys stadium, which the tax payers got bent over for, is a rip off. I got some company tickets and here is the drill:

The parking voucher was $75. And the lot was about a mile from the front gate – no tram.

Only two kinds of beer; Miller and Miller lite. $9 please.

The stadium has the world larges TV – because most all seats are nose bleed and you can only barely see the players.

But – Jerry Jones is getting even more rich….

Bucky says yes, and I won't doubt him.

But I know Foxboro is a cash cow with low taxes and good ammenities, because of one billionaire who lives in my town.

It's a cash cow to the owner because he gets tax incentives off the backs of people that cannot even afford to go to a single game with their families much less purchase season tickets.

It's exactly like John Oliver stated in his report and the insanity needs to stop.

he owner makes mucho deniro. Yup.

But "offf the backs of people" ???

The town offers the incentives to keep the team there.

So the town can make revenue.

Over and above any tax break that may be given.

Sure, the tickets are too expensive.

That's supply and demand.

The owner can't sell $10 tickets simply because the town offered a favorable arrangement.

I don't understand your angst.

Kraft built a stadium with 100% private funding. In an era where that is unheard of.

You wanna go hating, you need to look elsewhere.

Maybe you should hate the town of Foxboro for wanting the team to stay?

No.

Facts?

Yes, let's get back to the facts...

12 BILLION dollars spent on the 51 new facilities opened between 2000 and 2010...most with taxpayer money...for successful organizations for wealthy owners that get to keep the revenue that the places make.

DrMaddVibe

AND...this little factoid...

Economists could find no substantial evidence of increased jobs, incomes or tax revenues.

Just facts.
