I'm still seriously looking at h&k p30. Not shot one yet but feels the best in my hand at the gun shows.

My favorite hand gun of all time. Too pricey at 900. If I Ever find one in the 600 neighborhood I'll be in trouble with the wife

You won't hide it well without a Hawaiian shirt though 🙂

Teedubya, try a H&K P2000. It's a mid compact not a full on compact, very nice to cc.

Meh let's see any other pistol do this

Adult Lego haha I'm ok with that. I wore my 43 the entire time I was on vacation. Gym shorts, x large t shirt and my iwb tagua holster.

Hoping to get some trijicon night sights for it here soon.

I've got the Truglow TFX sights, love em. Also have the Pierce grip insert.

If considering a 43, consider a 26 or a 27 instead (which are identical in all exterior dimensions). I've compared the 43 and the 26/27 side-by-side, in person. The 26/27 are very slightly larger but the dimensional differences are insignificantly small, in my opinion. What you get in exchange for them is significantly large!

The 43 uses a single-stack magazine which severely limits its options. The 26/27 use double-stack magazines which let them use ANY Glock magazines of their respective calibers ever made, for any/all other models! Have a look at the difference this makes:

GLOCK 43 (9x19mm) CONFIGURATIONS:

* 6+1 rounds (G43 flush-fit magazine)

GLOCK 26 (9x19mm) CONFIGURATIONS:

* 10+1 rounds (G26 magazine, flush-fit)
* 15+1 rounds (G19 magazine, extended)
* 17+1 rounds (G17 magazine, extended)
* 33+1 rounds (G18 magazine, extended)

Want to step up to more power with .40SW? Try the 27:

GLOCK 27 (.40SW) CONFIGURATIONS:

* 9+1 rounds (G27 magazine, flush-fit)
* 13+1 rounds (G23 magazine, extended)
* 15+1 rounds (G22 magazine, extended)
* 22+1 rounds (Glock specialty 22-round extended magazine)

This flexibility allows you to create really nice arrangements... for example, carrying (with proper license) a G27 with 9+1 using the flush-fit magazine in a pocket holster in your right pocket, and a couple of 22-round magazines in your left pocket, for a total of 54 rounds with only 2 mag changes. Quite the setup! Can't do anything like that with a 43!

Don't believe me? Go to a gun shop, and hold both side-by-side, and compare length, width and height. You'll see what I mean about the difference being insignificant for the huge advantages you get in capacity and flexibility.

^^^ pudding mittens?

Noob?

Or
CIA GUNSMITH UNDER THE
LANGLEY HEADQUARTERS?
And sometimes Quantico....when specially needed
For moving target's...

I thought you only "honed up" Sig Sauers?

Does Dave or Jimbo (or their sons now) still work there?
They were very cool guys...
And perfectionists ...
Plus experts at re-chambering " odd-ball calibers"
Into factory blank guns...
How are they doing?

Haha. Nope, I'm just an ordinary guy who knows a lot about guns, and likes sharing the info with newer folks to help them, because old-timers did the same for me when I was new(er) and less knowledgeable! Gotta pay it forward.

i get it and yes, i have held and shot all the guns we are talking about as well

just depends on the application
if a pocket gun id go p3at or lcp as none of the others we mentioned are pocket guns imo

if a small iwb single stack is desired and it must be a glock go with the improved firepower and bullet options a 9mm (43) provides over .380 (no brainer)

if it doesnt have to be a glock and you want a nice little single stack go with an xds in .45acp

if you want a small iwb and dont care about the width of a single vs double stack then yes, i agree that a 26 is a great choice

i am of the mindset that no "best gun" exists but, if i had to choose, id probably lean towards a glock 19

The 27 & 26 have a fatter grip and print more than a 43/42.

They also didn't feel as good in my hand as the 43. If you are in a firefight that requires 54 rounds you're a bad shot and in the wrong place.

Correction I ordered ameriglo sights not truglo sights.

They rock. Stock WORK fine, but I don't like having PLASTIC freaking sights on a metal firearm.

Yeah I hear you on the plastic sights but on my AR the mbus pro sights were another $60 and they aren't spring loaded like the poly mbus sights are. I don't chop wood with the thing and the mbus sights will be down most of the time once I get a sparcII for it.

The 26/27 are certainly pocket guns. With a proper pocket holster, they can be carried in any normal front pants pocket (jeans, dress pants, etc. etc.) with no difficulties of any kind. This has been verified by many thousands of individuals carrying them in pockets for over 20 years now.

However, some people seem to define "pocket gun" as something much smaller than what can *actually* be comfortably and practically carried in a pocket. I never understood this, but I'm a big guy. Maybe smaller folks with smaller pants have more difficulties, I don't know.
