15# ling cod... 10-11# trout...

There was a 2 year period of time in my twenties where I would regularly catch 4-6 pound trout with the occasional 8-10 pounder mixed in... They called me a trout whisperer...

Limited on coho salmon and halibut. Dad caught a 13-14 pound rainbow trout as well.

Brought 100 pounds of fillets back between us. We only fished 3 days. The other 7 days we just explored.

Nice! Few fish on the planet are as tasty as fresh trout. Both sweet water and salt water specimens.

I've always wondered why every seems to love bass fishing compared to trout fishing. I haven't done much bass fishing but they seem to be a lot easier to catch verses trout. Is it down to simple geography? It's too warm for trout in the southern state's I'm guessing but it just seems like fishing culture is really focused on bass. Am I the only one to notice this? I don't have anything against bass fishing just curious as to why it seems to inspire such passion. I do most of my fishing in fast water and I've watched trout swallow my bait, give me the people's eyebrow and then spit the hook back at me. Are bass just as tricky?

This is no disrespect to Sweetwater trout, but you can catch them on a kernel of corn. Both largemouth and smallmouth are a tad more
selective on what they will bite. When it comes to eating... 10 out of ten times I prefer trout. That's just me

Well.... my budy finished in 10th place. No too shabby. He only landed 3 keepers today.

That's why they call it fishing and not catching.

Just got back from vacation around the White River in Arkansas.

If you haven’t been, you owe yourself a trip.

We caught so many rainbow trout, a few cut throat, and several good sized brownies.

This will be a trip I take again.
