This retired car crash lawyer believes what his experts have told him and what accident reconstruction books and courses taught over the years: Retards are dangerous and should be outlawed, IMO.

So I realize this thread is a little old. However today I was running my truck. Hauled a load of soybeans Had a complete separation of tire tread from tire. On the road it certainly looked like a recap. (I picked it up) however I bought that tire new. Was a Goodyear as if that matters but it did separate Tire had maybe 40 percent life to it. On the next axel I’m running bandag recaps that are basically worn out. They’ve been really good. Just some food for thought.

I hate Goodyear passenger/ pickup tires but I’ve had really good luck with their semi tires. Today was not such a good day with them. Busted a mud flap pipe and destroyed my wires to my brake lights on truck. Just letting some of you guys know sometimes it’s not caps you see. Anyway I’ll be up and running again for under 800$ two new Chinese tires on the way. Just not sure if that’s better or worse that a recap. Hate to spend several hundred more on a tire that may or may not last until it’s worn out
