Just as well.

There were some good points made there, but also much of the same rationalizing and justifying of prolonged innapropriate behavior.

Typical "Free ____" thread.

Nothing ever changes.

I hear you TW. JJ first started taking shots calling me "Saint 8".

At least one other person jumped on that train.

You, on the other hand, always take the high road. And I appreciated that.

actually I think I said the saint 8 first and he took it from me.... if not I either never read his or it never soaked in... I usually do not follow people in here, least of all jj

that said.... much of my "flip floppin" or waffling is a result of recognizing I am wrong or headed in the wrong direction and correcting things.... I make quite a few mistakes and own up to them

but you do not see me in many long standing fueds in here.... I try to let things go... sometimes more than others..... but you are a perfect example.... I have nothing against you and no desire to fight wit ya....

The irony of being called a Saint when I've broken 8 or 9 of the commandments wasn't lost on me.

I've been thinking about the commandments and god in general lately. The result.....

My grandma dies last week and I am scared to self pleasure because I'm afraid she can see me.

of subject but kind of related.....

much of what I do involves improving the quality of care in nursing homes...... that includeds dignity for residents

The last time I went to visit my grandma in the nursing home I got off the elevator and the poor woman with a room by the elevator was buck nekkid waiting for staff to come back to her room....

she was sitting on the pot (she couldn't walk and relied on them) nekkid while the staff left her there with her door wide open for everyone to see..... evidently they went back to their station or another patient until she was done..... big no no... sons of bitches..... but they got a surprise facility inspection a few weeks later ;)

Excellent work.

I was beginning to think it was by mandate that nursing homes had to smell like urine.

Change is good. Especially when it is underwear or adult diapers.

they had the smell issue too.... when surveyors enter a facility they can tell by the smell what type of survey its going to be..... in my grandma's nursing home they found

doors left open while residents were inappropriately dressed

sheets and blankets not changed after accidents

catheters set on dirty sheets before being placed

unsteralized finger lances used over and over

residents left alone while toileting (residents at risk of falls)

and much much more..... they had a checklist from me prior to going in...... I am ashamed she was there..... bad news..... but unfortunately in her small town that was about the only choice and you'd be surprised how bad many facilities out there really are

caveat.... no survey would ever be done just because I am in a position to request it.... I requested it as a citizen.... anyone can do it if they see things that are wrong.... I just happened to know who to contact

Good morning to all who enter.

A couple years ago my grandmother was in a nursing home for a few weeks before she passed away. It wasn't as bad as some places but it definitely had "the smell." She hated it there. She was used to being very independent and it took away all of that. It was horrible to see her waste away in such a short time. As hard as her death was it was a Godsend for her. She only had to be there for a short amount of time.

luckily, none of my grandparents went to "the home"...my great grandma spent the last couple of months in the hospital, but in rural Kansas, it was a normal hospital.

but, i keep telling my mom we are going to celebrate her retirement by putting her in a home...she asks what if she is still healthy...i say I DON'T CARE, GO TO THE HOME! she laughs....my mom knows me well.
