65304 - Esteban Carreras 187 Toro. OK smoke, obviously aged for a while (not by me), the cello was yellowed and the maduro wrapper was mottled. Pretty mellow to start with occasional touches of pepper. Starting to pick up some sweetness a the 1/2 way point.

This was from last year's purchases, the good ones came out prior to 2015 and were good with about 5 years aging. This particular cigar that I smoked yesterday looked more like a 2nd, but it smoked OK. The Olanchos (2) I've smoked were not as good as the Genesis IMHO. The Oscuros are relatively new and the one I smoked didn't impress me.

Not sure,, thinking a toro. picked it up at the lounge and lit it up with out my usual take it home to rest routine and they did just arrive -rott and the delivery was a week and a half late.
So maybe I'll give em another shot but it was overly sharp, salty & bitter.
Was hoping we'd get the "Rare leaf" but we will not. Gonna have to talk to the reps when they come in as we were told no Rare leafs unless we get $3500 order.
Maybe I'm just put off by that crap

Maybe 5 years ago I used to enjoy them alot more. Not sure if my tastes are changing or the sticks aren't as good. When they are rolled well they aren't a bad smoke but for the price there are better options out there IMO. For an inexpensive smoke the DE Nica Rustica is a much better daily 'gar if you don't mind all the smoke it puts out.
