Balvanie 17, Caribbean cask, and double wood. Sampler pack paired with an Ashton Maduro (my regular cigar the past few weeks). It was a good night.

Last month, the 16th IIRC,was National Whiskey Day.Tomorrow is in fact National Bourbon Day.Perfect timing with Fathers Day and all.

December 5th is National Get Drunk Day.

I usually celebrate Australia Day as well in memory of my time down under.........FYI Jan 26th 2015.Good reason to get smashed and beat the hell out some azzholes.

Only about 5 minutes in on the cigar though. It's a pyramid of some sort so it could get good.

Going for a different kind of night.

MUWAT KFC

and a glass of New Holland Brewing's Beer Barrel Bourbon.

They take a barrel of bourbon and rest it 90 days in a used bourbon barrel beer barrel. Should be interesting.

I was asking if anybody had tried this here awhile back, seemed interesting but I didn't pull the trigger. Let me know what you think.

Yea the regular Bulliet doesn't do much for me and should be an under $20 product. The 10 however is very good even at say $35......but not much higher than that.

My wife knows if she buys me scotch any Macallan or Balvenie will be fine.I just added Glengoyne 15 to her list of approved Scotch's.When it comes to other whiskies she knows I like surprises.......Jack Daniels products,Jameson products and all Canadian whiskies are the only things off the table.

Worth it. Its a lil different, I was expecting a big sweetness to come through from the beer barrel treatment but its not a huge part of the flavor profile. They had to have started with a very good bourbon, unless the barrel is magic. It did need a tiny splash of water or half an ice cube to knock the edge off though.
